Codfathers Portland in Weymouth and Portland

Just had small cod and chips and omg I’ve not had chippy taste so good like that for years , 100% to chef tonight thoroughly enjoyed and I’m picky lol well done

Fantastic gluten free fish, the fried corned beef is a treat and the large portion of chips could have fed our family twice there was so much!Fast and tasty, always hits the spot!

We came in here when staying on holiday. The staff are so friendly and the chips are absolutely beautiful.We got a mixed kebab and cod roe. It was by far one of the top 3 fish and chip shops we have ever had. Thank you

Waited about 25 minutes for a 'thin and crispy' pizza. Was actually very thick and uncooked. We ate a slice between us and have thrown the rest away. To say we had a poor experience would be an understatement.

Whilst staying in Portland we visited twice and that was because it was so good! Very impressed with the quality of the fish, chips, pies and the curry sauce was lovely too.

Well with only two people in front of me and having to wait outside I was expecting a short wait.45 mins was the total time.They take your order and you pay for it then you wait.So the quality of the food was not worth waiting for.Greasy and burnt chips.Complaining was also a complete waste of time as I witness from previous customers.Not many takeaway places around here and that's how they survive a captive audience. Take my advice its quicker to travel else where

Wouldn’t recommend. Thinnest, smallest “large” cod I've ever seen. Chips were greasy and just the crispy bits. Part of my order was missing which we only discovered after leaving. Can only imagine the good reviews are from locals who must get better service than visitors to the area. It’s a pity as we were so looking forward to fish and chips in an area famous for it. Wouldn’t go back.

Lovely polite staff. WORST chips (if you can call them that ) I have EVER had 🤢🤮🤬 hard greasy just awful they were just disgusting ,even the dogs wouldn't eat them

Nice big portions of chips and cod, had a hudge feast...5 minutes drive down to chissle beach.... Fish and chips by the sea.. Happy days.. 😁😁

Excellent fish and chips and a very filling portion size. 2 small cod and a medium chips was plenty for our lunch. Cod was really thick and the batter was delicious. Chips were fresh and well cooked. Would happily return, and acts as a great pitstop on the way to Portland Bill.
