Cove House Inn in Weymouth and Portland

Great location. Nice cosy historic pub. Ate here food was good to average but when you are hungry its great! Very pleasant. Would I go here again whether for food or just a drink DEFINITELY.

What a lovely place! It was raining windy outside.inside was really friendly helpful staff..really friendly and chilled. Food was tasty and well described by the waiting staff. Really good price much cheaper than my home town!! I could go in and on ... And I haven't even said about the beach!!

Staff very friendly, food very good. (We had fish cakes and the fish and chips) Cask beer very nice. Location just at the start of Chesil beach. Great views. They had some great pictures of a storm in 2014 that had waves going over the pub.

On the sea front and a fantastic spot. The food was the best we had on our trip and I'd really recommend this place. It has a small menu but everything on it was excellent, home cooked and flavoursome. The team there were lovely too.

Just had a wonderful meal at the Cove House Inn, we had the mackerel and bacon on a warmed salad and fish pie with salad, see photo. Started off with the whitebait. All excellent and the menu is just right, not an overwhelming list but a great and interesting choice and good value. Service was quick and the staff are wonderfully efficient and friendly. A smashing evening.

Lovely views and table service but limited choice on venue especially if vegan or vegetarian. Only 2 desert options and no vegan starter, or one vegetarian starter. Coffee not great.

We had lunch at The Cove House Inn when visiting Portland last week and were absolutely amazed with the quality of the service provided by the staff.... food was great and the setting is amazing.... we'll definitely be back for another pint and FnC by the beach!

Amazing views out over Chesil Beach and the best place to enjoy a beer at sunset. Great pub with simple, well cooked food - much of the fish is caught locally. Friendly staff and good service.
