Golden Island Chinese Takeaway in Weymouth and Portland

It's a real shame that I have to write this review, we tried to discuss the problems of the order with the owners. However they insisted that they were right. It mattered little that we had ordered atotally different meal to what we took home. It's a real shame to loose yet another local couple.

In my opinion the best Chinese on Portland. cooked properly and not to much salt as that can be a problem with some Chinese food.

First time ordering this evening and my last. So yes food fairly priced was told there would be a del charge , fair enough standard with most takeaways however not prepared for that to be £9 on top of my order because they use taxi firms to del for them.This is ridiculous and to not be made fully aware on the phone is unacceptable as had i been i would not have placed an order.Order was also not fully delivered.I know people in the taxi industry and know a few chinese rest that use taxi del but they pay the fare its not pushed onto the customer.Needless to say food ok not outstanding and over priced delivery means they will not have our repeated custom.Very poor communication

I purchased around 19:00, not busy in the shop, quiet, food good, lots of taste perhaps a little too greasy. Best chips around if you have chips.

Had pork balls. If I'd kept the oil dripping out of them I could have fried an egg every day for a week......way to greasy....would recommend the Chinese just down the road, at least you won't block your arteries with just one meal.
