Chips were very good, as were the sausage and fish cakes. Opening hours caught us out as they close at 8pm on a weekday, and they don't give you eating implements, even on request.

Was the only chippie open in Weymouth after our 5 hour drive for a holiday. We popped in and got 2 cheesy chips and 2 cans. £15! Not even any meat or fish and it was that much. Still, we paid it thinking it'll be nice (and there was no other options!)We walked back to the car as there was too many birds about to consider eating outside. I'd wished he'd wrapped it in paper to keep the temperature a bit more. When we got to the car and tried to dive in to our dry chips as we had no dip as they were charging a whopping 40p for sauce-they weren't nice. There wasn't a lot of cheese, I saw them portion it in a small pot and then about a quarter the way down in my chips I found a short black hair that made me gag and throw up what I'd just eaten. I couldn't face the walk all the way back to the chip shop to complain so we threw them away and left to go shopping and cook a proper meal even though we were exhausted. Very disappointed, really wanted my money back as they weren't eaten but I'm not paying for parking to go and get a refund. Very very annoyed and disappointed. Can make a.killing being the only one open it's a shame they choose to choose so much and have poor quality. That was my one fish and chips meal I'd planned to have (rare treat!)whilst we're away and it wasn't eaten.

Went in for takeaway fish and chips and sadly things were off to a bad start when the guy serving behind the counter kept blowing his nose and then proceeded to serve customers.Anti bac was mounted to the wall how easy to just clean his hands. Have people learn't nothing about hygiene in the last few years even without Covid this is a food hygiene issue Please train your staff in the importance of it ! Otherwise the fish and chips were great !

Treated myself and hubby to fish & chips and sausage & chips after a wonderful day at the seaside and for the first time ever i have to say the food from here was disgusting, so much so we threw it away we could not eat it. It tasted burnt like the oil needed to be changed and the battered sausage over cooked, dry and the batter burnt well the batter you could see. The cod had a rancid taste not off just burnt and well lets just say if i could give it a 0 i would but i cant and so on this occasion they have disapointed us after coming to get our chips from here over many years. Not there usual standard and for us i dont think we will be coming back in a hurry!

Excellent fish and chips. Fresh, juicy full of flavour not mention one of the best scampi ever I tried. Really quick service and the price is worth every single penny two portion fish and chips plus scampi roughly £22

Good fish and chips, however we ordered in the late afternoon 3pm when it wasn't too busy and feel the fish was not as fresh as it could be.The chips were lovely and it was an acceptable price £7ish for cod and chips each.It was more than enough to share one standard chips between two, which they kindly split between the two Cods for us.Fantastic location on the sea front, and nice decor at the shop entrance.

Went there a year ago for our anniversary dinner. Lovely service. Food freshly cooked and good portions as well.

The front was under renovation but t if you get past it, this is a very decent spot for a bite. Fish and chips were a good portion. Batter on the fish was great. Service was efficient.

Nice size portions and clean but that’s about it. I’ve noticed over the last few years, the issues with this place. My husbands meal arrived 10 mins later than the rest of the family, so wasn’t impressed with that. He only ordered fish and chips! As soon as you have just cleared your plate, the staff are swiping it off the table whilst you are still chewing! It wasn’t packed out either, it’s quite off putting when a hand shoots out across everyone’s meals to grab a plate. At least wait until we had all finished eating. I think we’ll be giving this place a miss in the future especially with the half arsed service.

My wife and I went here on Saturday evening. We had been here before a few years back and thought we’d try it again. They have a separate section for take away and for the restaurant. We went to the restaurant section. We both ordered the regular size cod and chips. They were both freshly cooked and took no time at all to arrive at our table. The meal was delicious. The service was incredibly efficient. The prices were very reasonable - definitely not overpriced ! We were tempted to try their desserts but sadly our stomachs objected due there being no room left in them !The restaurant being extremely busy also spoke volumes of how popular it is.We would positively recommend this place for either sit down or take away 👍
