Old Rooms Inn in Weymouth and Portland

We came to the Old Rooms Inn back to back days for drinks and some dinner. The pub was super clean inside and outside on the patio and the staff were friendly and clearly happy, with fun banter between themselves and regulars. At no time did any staff seem annoyed with our myriad questions on the first visit as we figured out how things worked. The beers were expertly poured, in branded glasses and at a proper temperature. The menu offers a great variety but not so much as to be overwhelmed or such that the food ends up being "meh". Instead, the food was hot and freshly prepared and super tasty! So good! Canadian pubs could learn a thing or two or three from the Old Rooms Inn.

Very nice friendly pub situated on the harbour side at Weymouth, plenty of tables outside or sit on the harbour wall and watch the boats go by. Food is served too, inside plenty of seating or outside, fair selection on menu. Good selection of beers and ciders. Very popular so dont hand around if you see a table.

Beautiful location, but this pub could be so much better than it is. Sunday Roast was cold when served, also not very well presented and barely any gravy.The ladies toilets were dirty and disgusting, with a broken lock on one door, one toilet blocked (so only one toilet could be used) and a sink blocked with an "out of order" notice laying in it. On the check sheet they hadn't been checked for at least 3 hours! Such a shame, as this could be a lovely pub if better managed.

Friendly pub, nice to sit outside. Shirt changed on pint measures and asked for bottle coke and got draft. Other than that, nice place to sit outside.

Food was good value cooked well and nicely presented. Good selection of beers & wines. Staff were welcoming and friendly and greeted us as we stepped through the door, I would recommend the Old Rooms. All set in the picturesque setting of Weymouth Harbour

We were greeted with a smile and a hello and shown to our table really quickly even though we were quite early for our booking. Our drinks arrived and we were left to look at the menu and enjoy the view of the harbour and order in our own time. Ordering was easy, the food was delicious and portions really generous. My husband had the mixed grill and I had the Katsu chicken. Yes there was a little wait for the food, but the pub was very busy and the wait was not excessive and we received and apology for the wait. This was a surprise booking for my husband having missed out on celebrating his birthday and our anniversary last year like millions of others. He thoroughly enjoyed his treat and the landlady even wished him happy birthday, which made our visit just that little bit extra special. Thank you for making his day and we will be back soon.

17th Century pub now part of the Greene King group.A wonderful old building, full of character, situated right on Weymouth Harbourside.The waitress and barmaid who served us, were both very pleasant and attentive.As with all the visits we have enjoyed to Greene King establishments, the meals are good and excellent value for money.

Had to go up and order twice because they had no steak left. But we still had a really good meal and staff are great.This pub is also dog friendly!

Came here for our 30th wedding anniversary meal, what an absolutely amazing time we had! Food was spectacular! A bottle of fizz to welcome us and best table in the house! Brilliant hosts, so kind! Would very highly recommend! Thank you for such a fantastic night! X
