The Codfather's Weymouth in Weymouth and Portland

Just had piping hot, delicious fish and chips kindly delivered to our campsite, brilliant! Fantastic food and service, thank you, would highly recommend.

Chips are great, but asked for large cod, not very large, and definitely not cod either, guessing may be the cheaper chewy pollock pretending to be cod. Or it was well over cooked cod. Batter was good but fish wasn’t . With chips like that they need to match their fish or get a better fryer in there cooking them.

Food was warm but not hot, the chips tested of rancid oil with the batter crunchy in some place but mostly soft, a shame to be honest as used to be really good but in the last 9 months as seem to go down hill.I would definitely go again as everyone has a bad day, but on this experience definitely just one star I'll update after my next visit.

Visiting from Hampshire, did a quick Google search and dropped by for Fish and Chips for the family. They were without doubt the best we had had in a long time. Thank you!

Working at a Fish and Chips myself, I understand the work behind it. However, this has been the absolute worst Fish and Chips we ever had. After being told that making Cod Bites was not possible because "I cannot be asked to cut the cod into smaller pieces", I offered to pay for a large cod just to get the bites, then, the guy at the till agreed to do it. The fish was soaking in oil, the box was stuck to the food and the battered came off completely. The pineapple fritters were stuck together and the buttered came off too. The Buttered Rolls were not fresh, they only had a teaspoon of butter in the middle. The chips were very hard and not eatable. The lady at the counter was ignorant and packed everything crumbled up. We are aware of the price increase lately but we ended up paying £50 for this mess. Would not reccomend to anyone!!

Zoomed in on the off chance, as running behind, stressed to the max and the staff couldn't have been more perfect. Really nice guys, who actually care about what they serve there. Fab food and quick service too, which was just what I needed at the time! Spot on, thank you, Codfathers! Jai.

Can be hit and miss with quality depending on whose working there. The busyness of the place doesnt make a blind bit of difference. When its good its excellent when its poor you get fish under a cm thick overcooked dry and missing part of your order. Good chips always so far tho

Very welcoming friendly staff. Avery generous portion of fish and chips with nice mushy peas. All served up in a cardboard box.
