Sadly didn't have a wonderful experience. Looks really lovely on the outside and when you go in it smells (stale cleaning?) and it just doesn't have a clean feel. I can tell it would have been lovely years back but sometimes change in ownership can give establishments a different approach. Lack of food and drink. We had ordered food but had to later change our mind due to problems with the drinks being watered down. The staff seemed more then happy to reimburse us despite already making a start on the food. It completely depends what you are looking for, but I truly believe it could be a lovely place with the right ideas. All the best for Dorothy's inn.

Nice atmosphere, live music which was a good selection of slightly older rock pop which for me was great! The staff were really nice too! That said, I felt that the drinks were a little pricey - £11.50 for 2 drinks - so make sure you have plenty of cash with you if you go there! Apart from that (and the fact that I went on a Friday night it was busy and quite noisy plus the dance floor was VERY small as it seemed to be a small pub), I did enjoy my evening. Pretty compact in there but it was nice.

Cheap Sunday carvery. Veg was good but couldn't eat the meat as it was tough. Although the dog thought it was yummy!Place felt tired but staff were friendly enough and they allowed dogs.

This place is the Pits. Really - But just look at the customers it's serving. It's open 23 Hours a day! It has rooms for 8 or more people... In one room! Rugby Tours, Stag Do's - Perfect!... Club upstairs that's serving till late and downstairs from 7:00AM for one Weymouth's worst breakfasts. But after that 4:00am Kebab (Just outside the Backdoor) floating on the 14 Pints you've swilled from 7:00pm, you'd be grateful for a nosebag with anything your stomach can keep down... (NB : Dirty Lap-Dances are available from some old birds in the club next to the Kebab Shop. Bring your own Penicillin, every story has a happy ending) If you're looking for a venue for a group and enjoy a bit of 'Grab A Granny' on the dance-floor... Look no further. Its a Flea Pit - but for a Boys Weekend Away - Perfect! ...

Seemed ok.. Was just an average run of the mill venue. No frills, no fancies and no frollics. Found it bizarre the bar staff had difficulty processing my order.. "One orange juice no ice". Contimplate using Google translator as never been asked before 50 questions about orange juice.. But hey I'm from the south east of the UK and this might be the norm of how the south west do things.. who am I to judge?? Overall you got two choices.. Either take this venue with a pinch of salt.. Or walk out cross over and grab a pinch of salt from the sea opposite.. Eithrrway your get the same response..

Went in hear fo a nice sunday carvery,it was vile, the roast pots were hard and white ,veg over, and under cooked, we sent back the potatoes and were offerd mash instead so we exeptedit as all 4 of us were hungry,by the time it arrived i was the only one eating, as i do eat slowly,i ate the mash, with was very peppery,so much so tha the children could not eat it anyway,we left there and my lips were swelling,by the time i got to the arcades just a little way down the road,i felt sick and my face lips and eyes were very swollen , i was itching all over,And then i was violently sick. I NEW THEN THAT THEIR MUST OF BEEN EGG IN THE MASH, AS I AM ALERGIC TO THEM!.WHY ON EARTH WOULD THEY BE IN A ROAST MEAL I DO NOT KNOW?the only thing it could have been in was the Mash.thankfully my eldist grandaughter did not eat it, as She is also allergic to eggs. £30 almost for a meal each that was awfull,Pluss it rueind our last days holliday as i had to take antiestamine pills and lay,on the bed for the rest of the day i felt so ill. Right on the seafront just across the road from the beach with beautiful views around Weymouth bay. Cider, beer and spirits as expected with a long open time, late license and karaoke.

Used this pub for years whilst on holiday. It used to be the best roast dinner in Weymouth. What a shock we had in 2016. Called in for a drink on Monday lunchtime no white wine! Ok it happens! Called in Wednesday for lunch, ordered food with drinks, no kids fruit shoot type drinks, no bottled lagers, no San Miguel on tap, got Carling, ok it happens. Went for a pee whilst waiting for food, no toilet roll and no soap, sorry to go on but it gets worse! Waited an hour for the food not that we ordered anything special, all day breakfast, bacon not cooked. 2 burgers, menu said with chips side salad and onion rings, we actually got burger and soggy chips only, tuna melt baguette which turned up as a hot dog type soft roll with something inside that resembled regergitated food from a hen bird to its chick, we left it on the table and left. Best seafront pub has gone to the worst in a few years.

The chicken came out with blood still in it, and the cook didn't seem very apologetic. The bbq chicken and bacon melt also came out with no BBQ sauce and they didn't give us the chips that were meant to come with the melts.

1 star is over generous, avoid avoid avoid. Looks are diseeving, you would think from the outside you would be entering a real nice establishment but I have never experienced anything so poor in my life, ditrty tables, rude staff, soft drinks were poured from 2litre bottles from local tesco and after the food was presented we took one look and left, the staff clearly couldn't have cared less so didn't even bother to get refund.
