A grand little cafe serving drinks, light meals and snacks. The staff are always polite and friendly, while always remaining professional. All possible action is taken to avoid the transmission of Covid-19.

We went here over the weekend and was greeted by a rather rude lady who we could tell was far to busy and important to deal with customers. Luckily she wasn't our waitress and we were served by another lady who was really polite and actually remembered our whole order without writing it down. The food is very basic but it was ideal for a quick stop lunch and was well priced. Whoever the lady is in the blue t shirt remember you need customers to pay your wages, luckily your colleagues pulled the service back.

I enjoyed a wonderful breakfast here with a fabulous view. Veggie breakfast was really good. The place was clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and helpful. A great place to eat and enjoy yourself.

The restaurant is near the light house.Very nice place. Our choices were cones with cream an butter and a Begian waffle with ice cream and chocolate sauceAll of them were delicious.Highly recommended.

Best cream teas around! The scones are warm, fresh and huge! Always take some home for my mom and nan. We have been lucky when we sat in to get a seat, most are reserved so best to book if sitting in, but lovely to sit out with a good view! Staff are friendly and good prices too.

Popped in for coffee and scone during walking a circuit of Portland Island. A lot of the tables had “reserved” on them but the friendly waitress said they were fine to use if we were going to be less than an hour. Our refreshments were lovely and all the staff seemed pleasant and efficient. I thought it was slightly on the pricey side, but worth it as it’s a pleasant place to be and so well positioned!

Best salmon I've ever eaten! The people here were so lovely, quick and attentive service. I couldn't believe how fast the food came out. The attached shop is a great idea.

Lovely friendly family run cafe, been here all my life & remember my Auntie working here many years ago. Food is excellent for a cafe and the prices are not expensive, all good freshly cooked meals, sandwiches etc. All clean facilities, toilets etc and there is a small shop attached so what's not to like ... oh currently no crab sandwiches thats all. Will definitely be returning next year or sooner maybe 🤔

Although it's expensive in here they do the BEST chips ever (well I love em!). We only waited for a table cause we wanted one that was still being cleaned. We ordered a cream tea for three or rather cream coffee for two and the other a cream tea as I don't drink tea 🤪 I also ordered a crab sandwich to go for my supper!I love the fresh scones they make on site here. They are huge though so I can't eat more than one!! At least they are generous with the cream too. You pay for everything at the till in the shop. My crab sandwich was waiting for me there too. It was very good btw. I'd eat here more often if it were cheaper but I know my waistline wouldn't cope!

It's going downhill, careful!Crab sandwiches are still reassuringly expensive but the scone was bad. As you can see from the pic, it's been tray baked and then cut. That's not a scone! Get good. Also despite 'freedom day' we were only allowed our tea in a takeaway cup, no pot." If you want a pot you'll have to eat inside" they replied. I am shook. It's a such a laughable absurd thing to have said.1. How can it be unsafe to have a pot of tea outside and2. How is it safer inside?Pathetic.
