I should say that The Ship is a terrible pub, in line with The Slaughtered Lamb cause that would keep this lovely, friendly and well appointed pub available for us locals. The truth is, its lovely. The staff are brilliant and the food is great. If you're passing, its well worth a pop in. Thet do B&B too I understand.

A group of 25 of us went for a Sunday roast in half term. The food was excellent, served hot and plenty of it. We were given exclusive use of their function room which was absolutely perfect for the children. Would highly recommend as the staff were very accommodating and helpful. We took our own board games which complemented the skittle alley and pool table. A fantastic memorable afternoon at the beginning of our holiday.

Went here for a meal, unfortunately we had to book ahead. The young man behind the bar couldn't have been more helpful. He suggested we ordered a takeaway and ate it in the pub we decided to order the takeaway but ate in our accommodationBooking at table for the next evening. Typical pub grub, tasty and filling. The staff are lovely. Different young man served us, again super friendly also ladies behind the bar lovely. Only here in holiday but will no doubt be in again

We went for a lovely meal today. They didn't have the carvery on due to delivery issues everyone has been facing recently. I had the crab salad which was absolutely gorgeous. The food was fresh, the salad was crisp and the potatoes were cooked perfectly. The customer service was above and beyond what I have come to expect from a local (the barman even remembered me and my dog from our last visit nearly 2 years ago). There was a waiter called Jake who looked after our every need, was polite, friendly and a pleasure to talk to.This place is set in a beautiful location, serves beautiful food and the staff are second to none.Highly recommended.

Fabulous tasting food and a good range of beers & spirits. The childrens meals were delicious and plentiful our boys loved them and completely cleared their plates!! The view from the beer garden is unrivalled. The staff were very welcoming too.

Arrived with two tired boys after a very long drive from North Yorkshire to a lovely welcome. Fantastic food - my son declared the burger alone worth the drive! The steak and kidney pie was also excellent. Lovely pint of well kept beer, too. And excellent, friendly service!

We stayed here last night for a kid free get away, it beyond exceeded our expectations. Absolutely stunning pub and very comfortable and clean accommodation. The breakfast was very good quality and made fresh to order. Nothing was too much trouble and all the staff were lovely. Will definitely be returning.
