Arrived with no reservation for food and managed to get a table. Food was delicious. The kids polished their plates which never usually happens lol. Great location on the marina. Fantastic options for food and drink. Plenty of seating in and outside. Would recommend eating here.

We found ourselves in the Isle of Portland on the day of our 10th Anniversary, on our way back to the South East from Devon. After a long drive, a trip to the Lighthouse and a walk around the castle, we were craving a drink and a bit of food. We walked into the Boat That Rocks and loved our experience. Despite some of the negative reviews, I loved their 10 oz burger. The wife loved their Chilli con Carne. The staff were extremely warm. Checked on us a couple of times if everything was alright and looking after us despite of a very big and busy table right behind us. Thanks for helping us finish our holiday on a high.

Really nice, welcoming, dog friendly restaurant. We reserved a table and mentioned we’d be bringing our dog and there was a bowl of water waiting for him when we got there. Lovey food and staff so helpful and friendly. Really couldn’t fault the place. Highly recommended

Amazing vibe for such an out of the way place. Odd parking system that needs explaining but they will give you a QRcode to scan when you leave. I'm still not sure if I needed to with a Blue badge but we did it just in case.Only had a drink rather than food but it was an amazing view across the harbour watching the tug boats bring in the large ships.

Today I visited The Boat That Rocks for the 2nd time.Nice place, nice and clean, friendly staff. This time I had the Fish and Chips.Good meal, service wasn’t as good as last time.Looking forward to visiting here again.

Real bad atmosphere. I think the staff have no manager. Despite fantastic location continues to disappoint. Someone needs to sort the place out! Food average, young team try their best. Service poor. Place hasn't been looked after for years. Go to the cafe down the road or the National Sailing Academy or even better Billy Winters!

For an out-of-the-way cafe with lovely views they have a surprisingly wide ranging menu. 8 of us ate in and there were no complaints from anyone. They did get my drinks order wrong though but it was quickly remedied.

Great little find. Lovely restaurant and staff with a stunning view of the marina! Generous portions and delicious food! Lots of outside tables and spaces to park. They were happy to alter my dish too from mushy peas to a yummy salad!

We didn't like this place at all... I am sorry to say this but... the service was slow, very slow, the food wasn't good at all and we ordered the burger as it was announced on the menu as the best burger in Dorset!!!! Huge expectactions but the disappointment was even bigger, I would say it was one of worse burgers I've ever tried and my friends had the same opinion. And if you decide to try it, expect overcooked meat patty and overtoasted bread...don't forget to order a extra sauce with the burger (like blue cheese sauce), so dry otherwise!!
