The Shack in Weymouth and Portland

Spent a really lovely afternoon at the Shack/Doghouse. Weymouth has been crying out for a location like this for years. Good selection of draft beers and wine, food is lovely (though it was a bit cold) and the views stunning. Only a couple of things stop it being 5 stars. 1) not enough toilets if it gets busy later in the season and 2) no children's menu, though you can go into the older restaurant to get takeaway fish and chips and similar. 3) There is no shade - not for the bar or the playground. So on a really hot day you're going to swelter and burn. Pack suncream and maybe a parasol.

Great place near the beach at Bowleaze Cove. Good play park. Only gripe was there seemed to be live music and recorded music being played.

Shack and doghouse is amazing .. superb views great cocktails and the chip buckets with pork belly !.

Great place to chillax with a Red Stripe and if the young guy we had on the bar plays his play list... perfect!!!

A beautiful addition to Waterside Holiday Park Weymouth.
