We have been twice before on our walks around the area and always love to stop here. The location is absolutely beautiful and staff are so friendly. Today we stopped in for a cheeky tipple nearing the end of our walk and the cheerful barman noticed that our water bottle was empty and offered to refill it. We drank in the rear garden where there was a fantastic acoustic guitarist/singer and the vibe was incredible. We noticed the lovely carvery that people were eating so will definitely be back for one soon. Pubs don't get much better than the Springhead.

Always love visiting The Springhead. The staff are so lovely and very accommodating. We normally pre book as its very busy but today we decided to chance our luck and sit outside which was lovely. Jo the lovely landlady even came out to let us know there was a table free inside if we wanted it instead. The food was delicious as always and the dogs were even treated to some carvery meat from Jo which they certainly didn't turn down! Its become a Sunday staple for us. I am allergic to eggs and the staff take allergies very seriously so it always feel safe. Highly recommend 😊

We came here 2 years ago and it was lovely. Nice park for kids beautiful views and nice vibe.Came back again still good park and nice views but the staff need some customer service skills training.I feel because the pub is so well placed the pub doesn't have to give good customer service. So they don't even try.Won't be coming back again! Shame as it really is a lovely pub.

Fantastic food and service Jo and Vikki are a perfect team going that extra mile to ensure their guests are looked after. Sorry we couldn't make out George III on his horse on the chalk hills and thanks for a great meal and for all you did to make our visit memorable 😀

Quaint tranquil little gem hidden away. Only a few minutes drive from Weymouth seafront. Child friendly, has playground outside the restaurant. Busy restaurant even on a week day night...which means lots of local customers!

Lovely pub. Outdoor pizza oven and bar. Dining Al fresco and inside with a very nice menu. Excellent service. GO out of your way to visit.

My family and I (two children age 4 and 8, husband and myself) had such high hopes for our Sunday lunch at The Springhead Pub. Sadly we could have not been more disappointed. Having booked the table a few days in advance we were relegated to the uncomfortable area outside area accessed through the car park and up some steps. My son (8 yrs) ordered from the children’s menu and the portion size was appalling, served on a plate only slightly bigger than a saucer. The two adult carvery meals were served on different sized plates (my husband’s was noticeably bigger!!). What we were most struck by was the blatant lack of hygiene measures. All customers were literally lining up and leaning only centimetres from the meat being served. It was not set back at all and people were coughing and talking all over it. In Covid times this is just not acceptable. One lady’s hair even touched it when she leaned over to be heard by the person serving. The vegetables were watery (especially the carrots and parsnips) and the slices of ‘meat’ were more like doorstops. Then came the running of the gauntlet just to return with the food to our table! All in all a very disappointing experience, albeit an expensive one that we will not be repeating.

We first met Jo Owen (the Manager) on holiday in Kenya back in 2018. It took us four years, but we finally took her up on her kind offer and visited The Springhead (and her lovely Mum Vera) last weekend.I don’t honestly know where to start. It is quite simply THE best Pub I have had the good fortune to visit (and believe me it’s been quite a few)! 😉The warm welcome, decor, ambience, food & drink were all exceptional. If you haven’t been, you need to visit asap - I promise you won’t be disappointed! 🦆😊
