Super friendly staff, very dog-friendly place too. Good coffee and biscuits, full afternoon tea looks grand. nice gardens. Hope to eat here in the future. Comfortable lounge, modern tweaks in a handsome traditional building.

Overpriced drinks and food, not fully cooked camembert starter, stale bread the cooked breakfast was cold, 4 very disappointed people. Could not complain as no one available in morning at reception. Did complain about cold breakfast to waitress but nothing seemed to be done. Very disappointed after seeing such good reviews

Booked afternoon tea for the family to celebrate a birthday. The staff were excellent and attentive, providing for the children. The tea was delicious and to a high standard. Big thank you to all!

This is a lovely hotel in a peaceful surroundings, we had a lunch here to celebrate two birthdays a belated 80th and my Mums birthday . The staff were very attentive, we had a dedicated room to give them protection and make them feel special. Could not fault the food or service, such a lovely afternoon, the saff were very friendly and couldnt do more for you. Outstanding, thank you!!

Friendly staff, charging ports for cars cost £15 which the receptionist failed to mention, we were charged the next day after we left. Bathroom was clean, although it didn't have any anti bac hand soap.Big cobwebs on the ceiling which couldve been cleaned off. Cupboard door handle fell off. Lastly, I could feel the buttons on the mattress through the bedsheets on the bed which was annoying! Could do with having a phone in your room to call reception. But nice size rooms with fridge and coffee makers.

Took my mum and some friends here for Sunday lunch. The food was very good. 3 of us had roast beef, 1 had belly pork and one a burger. We all said it was very good. The service was very good and they kept checking we were ok and had enough drinks.

Lovely Hotel but was double charged for breakfast and a child's cot and even after notifying the Hotel we had no reply or refund. This review would have been 5 stars apart from this.

Went on a Friday evening for dinner. We were the first to arrive at the dining room and were impressed by the whole building and decor. Seemed like they weren’t ready for us (we were 10 mins early) as no music on in the very quiet dining room but that soon changed. Food was excellent- worth their two rosettes. Service was good though the staff tend to visit the dining room rather than have someone there the whole time, so if you would like another drink or anything else then you have to wait for someone to come back into the dining room. We will return and hope to stay over too.

Beautiful house and gardens great location. Interior decor matches the style of the grand house. We went on a sunny day and the pool was in use , it looked very inviting. We only had Sunday lunch but the food was well presented hot and exceptional. Clair the duty manager was very knowledgeable about the house and is a credit to the owners. We had a fabulous afternoon.

Lovely menu. Meals beautifully presented and food delicious. Service brilliant. Willing to go the extra mile for the veggie and gluten free in our party. Excellent, "parkland" surroundings, just outside the busy town of Melksham. What's not to like?
