We like to go in for a coffee every couple of weeks, the atmosphere is nice and it's dog friendly. Good selection of cakes and pastries, even the vegan options look lovely.

I must admit I didn't really want to go in here but all the independent cafes were full when we visited. It was actually a really pleasant surprise - it's a lovely building with a tasteful and spacious interior. There is lots of local info on the wall too. The staff were pleasant and helpful, service was quick and the food and drink really nice. A good choice in the end.

Wonderful pot of tea and latte and slice of gateax, visited during jubilee Bank holiday

Very nice coffee shop in the High Street. Bright and airy. Friendly staff brought food and drinks to the table. Everything very clean.

The coffee at these places is always great. The special single origin coffees from small producers from around the world are always fabulous and always worth the extra 30p or so. This venue is very similar to many of the other places they have regarding layout and decor and is quite comfortable and relaxed. Not a place to get a meal, mainly for drinks and a cake. Use the app to build up loyalty points. Dog friendly area near the entrance - not sure what happens if these tables are taken, in other Coffee #1’s I’ve visited, they don’t mind where you sit.

Overfilled both cups I tried to sip some to lower the level and burned my mouth as scolding hot, I spilled a fair bit on the way back to the table as a result. Had the Indian Monsoon coffee lovely and the Hot apple and cinnamon also lovely once cooled enough to drink. Great cakes selection and both of our desserts were lovely. Great decor. Not overly cosy as either a converted bank or post office but a local place with nice local story up on the wall about a monk from the abbey.

Quality coffee, as always at Coffee#1. Panini are good but would be better with a bit of salad or coleslaw on the side. Great location in the middle of town.

·

Excellent coffees, the Mocha or Caramel latte are great Some iced coffees too. Choice of plant-based milk if you don't want ordinary milk. Assortment of cakes plus usual seasonal bonuses like ice creams etc. The place is large, bit like a train station, with seating. But you can take away too. Staff is nice.

Coffee house with alternative lattes(beetroot/matcha/turmeric), cakes, sandwiches, frappes, smoothies. Coffee is seasonal, had the Brazilian single origin and it was strong and good. Has plug sockets, alt mill for coffees.

Good coffe here, my recomendation is iced latte, they also do some great smoothies for a refreshing boost, the air con is amazing on hot days
