Crown and Anchor in Wiltshire

Amazing food, friendly helpful staff and lovely pub! We went for my mums birthday and they were so accommodating, we had the private dining room which was a beautiful setting looking out to the beer gardens and was presented lovely! Staff were really attentive and helpful and the food was delicious! Will definitely visit again.

Great food and very nice staff. Only downside was very low doir frame in my accommodation. Bumped 3 times and I am not the tallest person.

The perfect weekend getaway. We felt so welcomed from the minute that we arrived at the Hotel and throughout our stay. It feels like the cosiest country pub but with 5 star service and food. We would like to say thank you so much to all of the team and huge compliments to the chef too! It is worth visiting for the food alone as the attention to detail in each and every dish was exceptional. We were able to eat 5 courses at leisurely pace and enjoyed scallops, salmon, venison, and the most delicious sticky toffee pudding. Perfect portion sizes and beautifully presented. The room was comfortable and so clean and all of the products provided were just lush. Thank you to Ben and the Team. We look forward to coming back.

We booked a table for 12 over for last Sunday and ended up having a private dining room. The staff were helpful and charming and the food was delicious - our group ranged from 10 to 70+ and all enjoyed it.

Had the joy of dining at the Crown & Anchor on Thursday evening, and everything was perfect...we had pre-ordered the grouse which was delicious, and the chef prepared a wonderful bread sauce for my wife. The starter was a great guinea fowl and ham terrine, and pudding was lemon tart with excellent ice cream.Ben and the rest of the staff were so pleasant and helpful, and we loved the decor which had obviously been recently renovated.With the Crown & Anchor, we've now found a great restaurant to add to our list of regular must visits - well done

Had a stay for a couple of days at the beginning of July. Very pleasant pub in a small village, all recently refurbished to a high standard, while maintaining its traditional character. All coupled with very comfortable accommodation, friendly staff, and excellent food to make it a very enjoyable break. It also proved a convenient base for other places in the area, in our case Avebury, Wilton, Salisbury and the Sandham Memorial Chapel. Recommended, and I hope to return in the future

An amazing evening meal to celebrate my partners birthday 👏 Service was warm and enjoyable, the waitresses and waiter were all very welcoming. I'd asked for a flower or two to dress the table for my partner, thanks again to the hero who had read my note and presented a small hand tied rose bouquet just after we'd sat down. I can't recommend the Crown & Anchor enough 👌 thank you from us both.
