Forest Fish Bar in Wiltshire

Wow, fish and chips, I didn't think I would say that was nice but today I had cod and chips from FFB and they were excellent. Many thanks to the fryer, he/she certainly hit my tastebuds. Definitely best chippy in Melksham.

Run by an oriental couple who couldn't a fish if it slapped them in the face. Dry over cooked fish simply disgusting. Horrific batter.. pure grease. STAY AWAY

Good Fish and Chip Shop friendly staff

I would personally say that forest fish bar is the only one I will use. I find there portions are very big thay all I can manage to eat is one of there kids meals. Plus there is a good atmosphere and friendliness. I will recommend its worth a try.

Fantastic fish and chips, friendly and welcoming staff

Went to head towards a chippy we know is nice but there was atleast 15 people if not more queuing up. Headed off into melksham and remembered this little place I have seen and never went in. Well to be honest, it was the best portion of chips I've ever had, tge curry sauce was amazing and the mushy peas aswell. Also had a fish cake on the order with a jumbo battered sausage and 3 pickled onions. All for under a tenner. I'm heading straight towards this chippy from now on. Give it a go.

You cannot fault the quality of the food in this place. They cook it fresh in front of you and I think it's the most economical fish and chip shop in Melksham. Definitely come back here

Service is so slow! Waited 20 mins for just a portion of chips as they did not have the common sense to know that this order could be processed in 30 seconds rather than waiting to cook all the food for previous orders. Allowed others to push in front of my son when he tried to order and then the food is below par compared to Oceans and The Fisheries (Oceans is the best food having tried them all, but the service in the Fisheries is the best). 1 minute in the Fisheries for better chips than waiting 20 minutes in the Forest - I won't be going back.
