Hop Pole Inn in Wiltshire

I liked this place immediately when I had to walk round the building in the fresh evening air to get to the gents. Proper pub. Friendly, helpful staff knew all about the beers & ciders. Unpretentious pub food served nice and hot. Would recommend.

Excellent local pub. Obviously hasn't changed in years. You can't find pubs like this hardly anywhere these days. We only had beers but they were lovely and obviously kept very well. Definately worth a visit.

Traditional old pub with decent food. Good scampi and chips. Burgers, curry and pies also on the menu. Didn't notice a children's menu, probably more of an adult pub.

A group of us stopped here for lunch after cycling along the canal. Delicious food, friendly staff, great value for money, and great cider!! Will definitely come back.

Unassuming traditional pub, but the great food and warm welcome make it exceptional. Very family friendly too. Highly recommend the pie & chips!

My friend and I went to this establishment earlier his eve. We hadn't booked a table. We were greeted by the rudest young man ever. He said '' mmm we do have a problem your only two people and there's no where for you to sit'' We laughingly apologised and turned to leave. Then he shouted '' look if you go into the bar there's some people taking up two tables having a drink i could ask them to just take up the one table then you could eat you know nice and awkward'' how disgustingly rude.

A traditional boozer. Nothing overly special, but... They make their own shortcrust pastry pies that are knockout. Great value, too.

Best experience. Fab pub .fab food. Fab landlord😊 really friendly. Food reasonably priced. Made our day. Even gave the landlord a hug!!.. if we are ever in the area again would definitely pay another visit.

Stayed in a hotel nearby for a few days and spent every evening at this pub. The landlord is very welcoming and the beer good. We ate here 3 times and every meal was great with emptied plates. Definitely return if in the area.

What a lovely place! Good food, nice setting, a great landlord and very reasonable prices. A very warm welcome from the landlord with a good sense of humour and attentive to all patrons, they couldn't do enough to make sure you had a good visit. I would definitely recommend this to anyone staying locally
