Stayed over night here. We had a lovely evening meal. Hot food and very good service. Really liked the staff. They were professional and very welcoming. The room was clean and well looked after. Breakfast was equally as good as the eving meal. Overall can't fault the place in anyway. Would very much recommend the place whether it is for food alone or as an overnight stay.

Had a fantastic lunch with friends. The menu was varied with a varied selection of meals. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

We had a family meal here that was average, but the prices are slightly on the high side so you’d hope for excellence.I had the roast beef dinner, the beef was nice, the carrots were lovely, but the roast potatoes reminded me of frozen potatoes; not home made, and the Yorkshire pudding wasn’t fresh. The same for the roast pork dinner - it was average. The highlight of the kids’ meal was their desserts.I really wanted to love this pub, it is beautifully decorated and clean, and has so much potential.

This place is great. The rooms are clean, modern and comfortable. The food is just amazing, like the rest of the pub everything is a very high standard. The staff and general ambience gel all of this together. It's great value and we had a wonderful experience. Recommended.

Felt this pub was slightly overhyped to us. We booked in for a meal in the bar as we had our dog with us. For us it was slow service (although not busy in bar area) and we felt rather overlooked. Some of the food was wonderful (ricotta dumplings and hazelnut chocolate parfait) but other dishes average (steak, trout and pate).

2nd stay at this amazing place. We stayed in a room called Frustfield and wow it didn't disappoint! Roll top Bath and under floor heating....a rain shower and so beautifully decorated. Good quality towels and linen and such a comfy bed. We ate in the restaurant every evening and some lunchtimes and we have never been disappointed with the presentation and quality of the food. Absolutely 1st class. The staff are fantastic.Very professional but so chatty and friendly. Nothing seems to be too much trouble. We will never stay anywhere else when we visit this part of the country again.
