All of the Staff and Management, are more like a well lubricated family, all striving to provide the best experience for all their guest, who they treat as Royalty, including ‘walk-in’ guests, locals, and everyone who passes through their doors..Their hospitality, friendship and efficiency, together with their willingness to go above and beyond their remit as a hotel & catering establishment, shows a true example of what a wonderful, truly motivated and devoted hospitality provider should be!A true example of ‘A home, away from home’! Infact the best example of Hospitality you can find!No wonder they received the title “Best pub in Wiltshire”, In my opinion they should receive the title “Best Inn, in The UK”Visit, stay, eat, whichever you decide, you will not be disappointed!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Perhaps we were unlucky and something happened with the cook last night but the food was very poor. The place is beautiful, the decor is tasteful and the atmosphere is is great but the food was serious disappointing especially for the price. I will go back again for a coffee or just a drink but never wasting my money on food there again.

We love the Bradley Hare. This was our second visit for a quick drink this time. Excellent cocktails and friendly service in a pretty village.

Disappointed. Style over substanceI remember this place when it was the Somerset Arms and I commend the transformation inside and out. (I overheard its coming up to their one-year anniversary - congratulations.)Anyway, expectations were high when me and a mate decided to grab some dinner and have a catch-up at the Hare. Neither of us were drinking, so we opted for a bottle of non-alcoholic beer each - ‘Lucky Saint’, the waiter said. Lovely, I thought, I’ve had that before and it is nice. More of this later. We both ordered lamb cutlets - straight into mains. We waited nearly half-an-hour for the food to arrive which was borderline aggravating as it wasn’t overly busy. I’d ordered some carrots as a side and that is indeed what I got, carrots, and lots of different coloured ones. To my surprise, however, I found them flaccid & limp, almost as if they’d been microwaved. Certainly not cooked fresh. The lamb was well-cooked (pink & rested) but the fat was not rendered enough for my liking. That said, it was tasty. What came with it was a way-over-seasoned pickled artichoke, an indiscriminate purée paste thingy, and a charred, half onion. All a bit underwhelming to be honest.Anyway, another non-alcoholic beer each, a coffee and a cocktail later, we had a chat and asked for the bill. So: two mains, four non-alcoholic beers, two sides, one coffee & one cocktail. Take a guess at the price…………£96!! We were flabbergasted. Turns out the non-alcoholic beers were £5 a pop! £5! Five of the Queen’s finest! For 330ml! Not even a whiff of a hangover to show for it! £20-flippin’-quid for 4 soft drinks!!Bonkers.Honestly, it looks nice outside and in. Staff were perfectly pleasant and attentive. Food was mediocre. Darned expensive.

Good food, VARY poor service, expensive. £79.00 for two main meals plus Two glasses of wine and one pint of beer. Also corrected by the waitress when asking for the sweet menu and told it a Dessert menu so we didn't bother

I was treated to lunch here, recently, and I have to say that the whole experience was just superb. The venue, itself, is beautiful. Set in Maiden Bradley it nestles into the main road and even from the outside you can tell it is something special.Once inside, you are treated to a modern setting, but one that still keeps a nod to its historic past.We walked in and were escorted to our table by staff who were attentive, but not in your face.My only slight criticism is that there wasn't a lot of choice for a non fish eating vegetarian, so thankfully what they did have was delicious. I understand it's difficult to cater for every taste these days, but they did a good job.The food we both had was superb. Everything was cooked to perfection. This is good, honest food cooked well and presented immaculately. If you happen to be passing by, I suggest you head in for a bite to eat.

The baked celeriac was absolutely perfect and we’ve definitely found a new regular lunch spot. There wasn’t a beat missed in the whole meal. Plenty of space between tables and it’s been put together very thoughtfully.

Food and beverages outstanding, warm and attentive staff. The Bradley Hare is a wonderful upgrade to the old Somerset Arms which though a lovely building was cold and disappointing. The Pub has had a personality transplant and is now warm and welcoming. Addressing the elephant in the room, it’s not cheap and may well be aimed at weekenders rather than local trade but it stands out for the quality it is producing. The upside of paying a bit more is guests and staff that are polite and well mannered. Service was not slow but was not hurried and that suited us fine. Having heard about it’s do over, I’m really glad we ventured out to try it and certainly won’t be our last time there.Venison was fantastic though you will need to order a veg accompaniment European style. Burgers and fries very good without being over the top. Portions are good. Deserts delicious. I’d love to see another ale on tap but what was there was well kept. I’ve added pictures of the menu as of February 2022. A very leisurely lunch for 3 was £121 with the 12% service charge but we all thought this was good value. Maybe somewhere for special occasions but we could do with that locally. Can’t wait to try the beer garden in the summer!

I had high hopes as I'd read some great reviews and initially the aesthetic and staff were really welcoming (and the Virgin Mary's divine). I said to my other half, 'I think we might have found our 'go to' country dining experience' (having recently moved to Somerset from London). Then the menu arrived. When I'd booked, I'd informed the venue that one of us is a vegan (having been prompted by their booking service to point our dietary preferences), however there was no vegan option on the mains front and when we pointed this out and asked if they might be able to come up with something, it was suggested we go for the veggie option 'Halloumi stack' but without the halloumi (which presumably would defeat the purpose and not 'stack' up to a mains portion, or price for that matter). Ultimately my partner went for the Jerusalem Artichoke starter which was delicious but then put his principles to one side (unusual for him) and ordered the mussels (on the menu with a 'Dorset cream') as a main which we were told could be served without the dairy (meaning they literally came in the water they'd been boiled in - at least that's what it looked like and tasted like - no attempt by the kitchen to adapt the dish beyond omitting the cream). From my pescatarian point of view, the crab starter was seriously lacking enough crab (for 11 quid, I'd like a glimpse - if not a 'stack' of white meat) and my hake lacked seasoning and looked like it had sat on the pass for a while. You know something isn't right when you find yourself asking for salt & pepper & saying 'well the chips are nice'. We eat out a lot - we love a gastro pub and divide our time between London, Bath & West Cornwall. This was well below par in my experience. Maybe we caught them on the wrong day? They were still seeing off a large party who had booked the whole place for the day before. The kitchen was clearly very busy. However.... I hate complaining (and have never written a review like this before) but when asked at the bar when I paid 'was everything ok with your meal'?, I couldn't help but politely suggest all had not been well. 'Thank you for your feedback' was the crux of the response, so I paid the full £110 bill (which included one glass of fizz but no puddings) and headed home really disappointed knowing we wouldn't be going back. In 2022, surely kitchens in venues like The Bradley Hare (alleging to have their fingers on the modern/contemporary European culinary pulse) can look beyond Halloumi when offering their veggie/vegan customers an option for Sunday lunch? Genuinely gutted to be posting this but I do feel fellow Vegan diners should be pre-warned. Shame.........

Excellent, warm welcome. Well kept beer a delight. Great service* & food. An asset to the village, restored to a high standard. Well done. And we can cycle there, next time!Note: “Optional” Service Charge is 12.5% - hope this actually goes to staff
