New China Cottage in Wiltshire

We live within walking distance of another Chinese but prefer to pay a delivery charge to get our Chinese from here. Yes, they are always busy, yes, it takes a while to get through on the phone and sometimes once you’re through you need to wait 5 mins, I’ve read all these things in the reviews, which do my head in, from my point of view, it just goes to prove they are the best and if you are wanting your food delivered straight away then the likelihood is you’ll be disappointed…there are other Chinese takeaways in Westbury that you will get it arrive quickly but it will probably be cold, tasteless and dried up. Also, even during the more manic times, nobody has ever been rude to me.As long as you allow for a wait of some kind, be it phone or delivery, you will get your food hot, fresh and tasty in large portions. And the delivery drivers are always lovely.

Visiting family in Westbury & this was the best Chinese takeaway I’ve had for a long time, loved it!

No doubt the best Chinese in the whole of Wiltshire great food order regularly but had to wait nearly 2 hours the other night I find the staff on the phone are very Rude don’t really understand why considering how Often we order from them but it won’t Stop us ordering great food well worth a try

How are they still in business!!! Ordered food and 2 hours and 45 mins later still no food, call them up and they say 10-15 mins. Waited another half hour and still nothing. I will never use them again! Useless!!

Asked for my dish extra hot and it was I had Szechuen Chicken. The curry sauce is spicy and not the sweet type. The chips are OK . The crispy chilli beef is good with a very tasty sauce and the rice is also good .

The food is always great. Staff are friendly and helpful. But, waiting times are far too long. Obviously a very popular place. It's the only thing that let's them down as it's usually a 45 - 60 min wait.

Very impressed with this Chinese, took a few attempts to get through on the phone but the man I spoke to was pleasant and friendly.Card payment taken over the phone and food was delivered within half hour. The food was very nice, good portions and good value. I’d recommend!

Ordered satay prawns and special curry amongst other things . This was a new place to us over our local chinese and we was pleasantly surprised. Special curry is a new favourite and the satay was much sweeter than its equivalent. The seaweed was spot on and all in a relatively decent price . Super quick service! Thank you!

Foods not bad but it was delivered with cold can of Drink in With the hot food and Now I have To wait for can to cool in the freezer as its really warm.Edit with the response they have given here I do not recommend this place and will not be given repeat custom
