Very friendly staff. The pub is in a beautiful, quiet village. The Ship has a large car park and a beautiful pub garden that has a stream at the bottom. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was of a very good standard.

Very very good food, up several levels form most pubs.

Lovely homely pub, we was just travelling through on our way home to the west country. We all ordered a light lunch which was really tasty 😋 Highly recommended 😋

Absolutely brilliant meal in a friendly pub! Probably the best I have had for a long time! Lovely ale too

The lamb was delicious and the rhubarb pannacotta just dreamy. Lovely service. We had a great lunch, thank you.

Nice to see The Ship open again, after two years. The new owners seem nice - good luck to them. Menu looks interesting.

After a lovely walk in the area, popped in for a drink and lunch. Inside was a simple but stylish decor, with a log fire at one end. Service was friendly and they were happy to answer our queries. Really pleased with the drinks, the cider went down too easily. My wife had a sandwich (very tasty and filling) which came with game chips (omg... they're good!). I had the rabbit gnocchi, well made and moreish tarragon sauce. Will definitely be back next time we're in the area.

Parked up in their car park, finishing some paperwork, (work for emergency services) when the owner came out and offered us coffee. The coffee was lovely and the homemade biscuit was delicious. The owners hospitality outside of trading hours was very gratefully received.I will be back off duty to Check out the menu soon

We dropped into the newly reopened Ship Inn on the off chance and were very pleased. The new decor and furniture created a very nice ambiance as you entered and the new bar area offered a very pleasant welcome. The beer and wine were good and at competitive prices. We ordered some nibbles, starters and main courses and were very pleasantly surprised - all the food was excellent and very tasty. Obviously the new owners Andy and Egija are working very hard at it and achieving the results. Very well done. We will certainly be back and can thoroughly recommend the Ship Inn to anyone looking for a very good culinary experience.

Slightly disappointed because if we'd seen the lunchtime menu before sitting down, we probably would have gone elsewhere. Far too "fancy" a menu for our liking. However, we settled for the sharing ploughman's which was ok. But not really a ploughman's in the real sense of one. And I had to ask for butter to go with the only TWO slices of bread we were given. We were hoping for much more "ordinary" food. Very nice pub, good ale and nice people. But I don't think we'll be going back.
