Amazing service, stunning location (make sure you enjoy the beer garden, weather allowing) and then the food. It's not often I sit down at a pub or restaurant in the UK and head to the till feeling completely astonished with the quality of the food.Definitely include Sign of the Angel in your plans when visiting Lacock Village.

We were a bit rushed because of our tour. These guys were awesome at taking care of us. The food was super tasty and the atmosphere was really nice. I would definitely come back, hopefully next time we will have time to start and eat

Was visiting and chose Sign of the Angel based on reviews and could not have been happier. The room is cozy and inviting and we sat by the glorious fireplace. The food was tasty and wonderfully prepared. The waitstaff was attentive and helpful. It was a wonderful leisurely dinner. Thank you Sign of the Angel for a great meal.

We visited for lunch. The food was varied and the pastry was absolutely first class but the decor was tired, in need of a lick of paint etc...toilet rolls held on with rubber bands, loo seats wedged against flush. The service was the weirdest aspect. It was rather stiff and queries to do with the food weren't dealt with very well. It was 'ok' but a little warmth would have gone a long way.

The food and table service were excellent. However, when I booked a few weeks ahead I had pointed out that it was for a birthday of which there was no acknowledgment. This would not have been so bad if they had not given a wee bit of attention to another customer whose birthday it was and was openly acknowledged by the restaurant. Having travelled some 400 miles to stay in Lacock and celebrate my birthday I thought that what seemed like discrimination was not good at all and left a bad taste in our mouth. I dropped several hints to the waitress and she simply responded by telling me it was her birthday earlier in the month and her child’s birthday the next day. However, they did not travel some 400 miles to celebrate it.

We called in at lunchtime for a meal. The dining room was cosy, with a big log fire. Service was good and friendly, and the food was very high quality. Very goo vfm. This remains one of our favourite places to eat here in West Wiltshire.

Food served does not quite match the ambition of the menu unfortunately. Rather pricey for what you get. A bite size 5oz is the only size steak offered on the winter menu, yours for only £30.

Oh what a superb place. Really professionally run. The general manager was leaving for his night off as we arrived for a 6pm dinner. He came back in and introduced us to his team, nicely done. Amuse bouche delicious hake in feather light battery with a salsa verde. We loved our scallop starter with cauliflower puree, and duck dumpling starter. We both had loin of pork, when my partner asked for more cider sauce it arrived quickly and was given willingly. Port soaked Stilton and a delightful creme brulee finished our meal along with a stickily moreish sherry and a fine Port. A wonderful night out

A delightful, quaint hotel and restaurant dating back to the fourteenth century. The food is brilliant and it has five rooms, making it great for an overnight stay. With open fires and wooden beams, the Sign of the Angel has old world charm. The village of Lacock has been used for many films, from Harry Potter to Jane Austen. Lacock Abbey, now a National Trust property, is the home of photography and is well worth a visit.

Super lunch - nice fixed price menu with generous portions. Very well cooked & presented. Would have liked the dinner menu but evening fully booked. Good wine list. Highly recommended - rooms too if a stopover needed.
