Went at a quiet time where most patrons outside for a quick meal. Food was delicious and service great. Would recommend.

·

Pleasant afternoon sat outside with the dogs after walking along the canal. Food menu looks worth exploring so will be going back soon for an evening meal.

Nice little pub. Went for a music charity event. Pleasant staff

·

This a friendly pub, with a nice ambiance. Though I only go in for a drink, of which there is a good variety, I've heard people in there complementing the food.

Absolutely beautiful place and the food that was served for the wake I went to was lovely all staff are very friendly polite and helpful many thanks for the great hospitality.

A lovely little honest pub tucked away in a quiet village. It's a 3 minute walk from the Kennet and Avon canal where there are a few locks and a barge dock, nice walk and you may well see the locks in use. Food is standard for this type of pub and very tasty worth a visit. The staff are great, keen to please.

Oh dear....saw on line..pictures looked lovely...meal choices looked really good too. The reality. Cold dark uninviting. Table booked for 12-30. Pub empty...freezing, lighting poor...log burner was lit. Thought ooh lovely. Warmth..went out in under an hour! Food choices very very limited. Sunday menu only..basically Sunday lunch or fish and chips. Soup cold. Rest of meals mediocre. Had to keep asking for basics, ie salt and pepper etc also long wait for the food. This is one to miss unfortunately as could have been much better with some simple tweaks

Ordered food, waited an hour. Asked 4 times how long and never got updated. Girl behind the bar just sat with a group of men chatting.Asked for a refund and they went off again to check. Finally came back and said they’d approve the refund. When asking why it was so long they were “backed up” however there was hardly anyone in the pub at this time 2pm. Disappointed as the food actually looked good.

Excellent food and service. Chef accommodating to dietary needs. The best Hake I have ever had and hubby devoured his steak meal. Thank you

What can I say? First impressions, greeted by the friendly team and immediately felt welcome! First time visiting this place and they have exceeded my expectations. Staff are super friendly and highly efficient and accommodating, table service was excellent as well! Despite not having food on, they had a live band, which I have to admit were awesome! A good few oldies being played which brought back some fond memories. Thank you so much for a great experience! Will definitely be back again!
