Super tasty, great portions, solid price, and the timing was great as well. Definitely a unique location, cool that there's multiple stories. The restroom was also a plus, quite clean as well. I'd recommend for a quick fish&chips, not the most pristine of buildings but it definitely hit the spot!

Crispy batter on the fish, tasty chips and a great potion of mushy peas!

Always forget to put salt and vinegar. Young girl behind the counter just says ‘yes’ every time I asked her. Think she may be a bit stupid.

Excellent fish and chips - best so far in Salisbury for take away. Mushy peas not so great.

I went to this restaurant for the first time yesterday. They were quite happy to give me a child's portion which is perfect for the small appetite. The fish was good, as were the chips and the service was quick. Very cheerful waitresses too.I was impressed with the customer service. The Fryer actually came upstairs to talk to an elderly gentleman - who had come from Andover - about which part of the fish he wanted.

Was looking for a fish and chips shop and Stoby's came highly recommended by two local gentlemen in a nearby antiques shop. Had my favorite cod and was not at all disappointed. The fish was super fresh, the batter light and tasty and the enormous small order of chips were perfectly fried.

Just returned from Stoby's. Had Cod n Chips, Haddock n Chips, and kids Sausage n Chips. Cod was nicely cooked, fairly good portion at £7.10, Same for the Haddock but £7.80, and my son's single sausage n chips came to £4.90, which was curiously 10 pence more than an adult portion, but came with a blackcurrant cordial drink. Overall the food was good, but like most restaurants in Salisbury, overpriced. We could have got cod and chips at "Chick-o-Land" for £4.10, which is virtually next door.Stoby's is not big inside. Too many tables are crammed into too small a space. Thankfully it was quiet for our visit, so we had enough room, just about, for our elbows.Salisbury is screaming out for a restaurant that serves good food at reasonable prices. Sadly this is not one of those places. Our search continues.
