Sultan in Wiltshire

Have only had takeaway so can't comment on restaurant service, but... Very tasty food, large portions - one serving enough for two. Great menu. Recommended.

I ordered my Indian takeaway on line and it said One hour 20 for delivery, after two hours I called and told they were just starting cook and then be in the queue for delivery, so I cancelled

Waited over 2 hours for delivery despite me calling many times and being told it was 5 minutes away.

Always excellent tasty food with tender meat. Would recommend. Its takeaway only at the moment

Really disappointing. I’ve never found bones in the chicken dishes before but I did in my butter chicken, it seemed they also used poor quality chicken thighs that were grisly and unappetising. My butter chicken had also split badly and was just floating in oil. In fact, most dishes were floating in oil or grease. The onion bhajis were soggy and oily too. A lack of flavour or spice overall which left everything very bland.Overall a real let down.

Having eaten Indian food for many years and after reading some negative reviews , we thought we would give this restaurant a go anyway. We opted for a takeaway and picked it up.Food was prompt on collection. Manager was very friendly.When we got home, the food was very hot, portion size excellent and certainly the flavours of our jalfrezy and madras were perfect. The chicken, which we find a problem in many take aways, was the " star of the show". Very moist and good quality chicken breast. The sauces not oily as you find in some. Cannot wait for our next take away from here.

Order placed at 7:30pm advised delivery would be 8:30pm. Called at 9pm to be told it would be another 20 minutes and when food arrived it was stone cold at 9:30pm. 2 hours to cook 2 meals. Not so much of an apology or call to advise. Appalling service. Absolute joke. Won't be using again.

Must have been chaos in the kitchen last night. Ordered online. Due in 40 minutes. Actually ready in 1 hour 15 minutes. Sat twiddling my thumbs for 35 minutes. However, food was excellent when I got home, with a couple of freebies to apologise for the wait. Lovely tandoori chicken, curry, and biryani. Just wish the wait hadn't been so long. 5 stars if on time !

We had our first Takeaway from the Sultan since it has been under New Management and I have to say the food was absolutely amazing. The food arrived twenty minutes earlier than we had been quoted on Just Eat. The tubs were full to the brim, this was an issue we had had numerous times with the other Indian Takeaway in Melksham.10/10 Sultan we will definitely be ordering from you again.
