The Boat House in Wiltshire

Really disappointed last Saturday. Visited at around 3 hoping to eat (a snack would have done). We were asked where we were sitting so found a table - there were plenty free. When we asked for a menu we were told we could look at one but they were not serving food!!! When I asked the times of service was told ‘normally all day but they were expecting a group of 20’ so couldn’t take orders. I wasn’t going to send this review but saw that this is not a one off. The Boathouse needs to get its act together and employ enough staff to cope with its bookings and still offer walk ins. We are new locals and exploring places to eat and take friends. The Boathouse is quite low on our options list now.

Would highly recommend, came for a meal for my sons 18th on Saturday there was 12 of us. The food was delicious, the staff were amazing and so accommodating. Will definitely be back.

Amazing, relaxed didn't feel need to make space for another booking. Gorgeous food, brilliant service.

This is a very easy place to get to and has plenty of parking. They have indoor and outdoor seating and take reservations. Booking is recommended for Sunday Lunch.The staff were very welcoming and the service was great. Sunday Lunch was delicious and plentiful so I had no room for pudding but the options sounded wonderful.I went on my own but there were larger parties in at the same time including with small children and they handled all party sizes efficiently. They also have high chairs if you need one. Just let them know when you book.They have a step down to the seating area by the water but have a ramp that can be used for disabled access.There were a few people in for drinks that had dogs but they were all very well behaved.All in all a great place for a wonderful Sunday Roast.

Great food, lovely scenery and service

The perfect stop. Very friendly good food what more can I say. We had an excellent evening meal. And returned 2 days later in the afternoon for a drink and a snack to watch the boats in the afternoon I would definitely visit again and would highly recommend this lovely pub

Walked to here from Bradford on Avon on a Sunday evening for dinner, food was well worth the walk.

Friendly staff, quick service, great food, good atmosphere + nice views of the canal boats.

Nice venue, bit rainy today so not going to judge the location on that. Atmosphere is good, appears to be dog friendly too. Food was good. Standard fare for a place like this. Presented well and tasted good. Only grumble would be not much of a vegetarian selection, but we are still coming out of a pandemic. If you're passing through and looking for somewhere to grab a bite, I would suggest you give here a try!
