The Bolingbroke Hotel, Pub And Restaurant in Wiltshire

We had had a lunch there the day before we stayed overnight after a wedding reception and food was excellent.This continued with the excellent staff, service and food for the reception.The breakfast the following morning upto the continued standards of the hotel.All who stayed overnight after the wedding, have stated that the atmosphere, hospitality, service and rooms were of a very good standard, and would most definitely stay again, the next time in the area.

Excellent food served by excellent staff. Friendly and warm atmosphere. Never had a bad meal here. My favourite eating place.

Came here for a work meeting and the food was absolutely lovely, the staff were really polite, it's very well presented and the toilets were regularly cleaned. If I live closer to the area I would have definitely gone here with my family.

Not an awful lot to say to be honest, came for Sunday roast, food was completely mediocre, lamb was dry and tasteless, pork was ok, potatoes were hard to cut but not bad since you’d made your way through them. Food looked like it had been thrown together. Not rubbish but wouldn’t recommend.

Tucked away on a busy country road between Purton and Wootton Bassett. Large car park. We went for lunch. Menu choices varied and reasonably priced. Good sized portions and good quality. Only downside was the ambiance. On the occasion we visited there were more staff than patrons.

Visited for a family Christmas gathering. Lovely building, lovely well priced food (the liver and onions was excellent) and good service. One older waiter however quite abrupt throughout - everyone else were perfectly friendly, but he was a little rude in his manner.Have visited a few times and will no doubt visit again.

The best steak I can remember having. They even managed to squeeze us in for our anniversary due to a mix up (on both sides) about our booking. Highly recommended.

Excellent experience. Decided to stay here as close to Royal Wootton Bassett Rugby Club where was attending dinner. Rooms recently refurbished and in excellent decor. Bed extremely comfy, bathroom nicely appointed with walk in shower and breakfast substantial & tasty. Service friendly. About the only thing missing was a teaspoon/stirrer for my in-room coffee, but hardly a mark down! Thanks

We've driven past this establishment many times over the years and being local decided to give it a go based upon a very attractive setting and always appeared busy.This evening was astounding.This is by far the best meal we've had in the 30 years we've lived in Swindon.The staff were attentive, the menu well laid out and providing a good choice.Once the food arrived in good time, we were bowled over by its presentation and indeed its incredible taste.We WILL return and cannot recommend this enough.Faultless service and my father's 80th birthday well catered for!!Thank you so much for a fantastic evening.I hasten to add, the booking was last minute and accommodated swiftly by the owners!!!5 stars all round!!!

Turned up with no booking and were welcomed straight away and given a choice of outside tables (we wanted to be outside). Dealt with 3 different staff members, all professional and really friendly, a difficult mix to get right. Good varied menu and they were happy to make some alterations. Recommended and we will certainly return.
