Visited the pub as we were driving past the town. We called first and was told that food finished at 20:30, and it was 20:15 when we rang. We arrived at 20:25 (I know!!) and we're greated with a big smile and a really polite staff member! The food came quickly and was really tasty. Would 10/10 recommend a visit!

Great pub in a beautiful spot. Lovely big beer garden with lots of outside space. Concise food menu serving delicious food. Friendly staff. Can’t wait to come back on another sunny day

·

Lovely location. Food was nice. Dropped a point for only supplying bendy, cheap, eco unfriendly, plastic cutlery!

·

Good stop for snacks and lunch. Great beer and cidre Thatcher s . Walk through woods and avoid busy canal. Back by river walk boots recommend for this walk.

·

Lovely location. Homemade spiced lamb pie a highlight. Steep steps down to garden. Views worth it...did well to only spill a few drops! Didn't see a children's menu slightly fussy eater with us but coped and made baguettes to order.

·

Lovely surroundings. Due too location, not a lot of seating, for the disabled. It's on a steep slope. So excess is too a lot of the seating is via steep steps

The food was pretty good, we had the fish and chips and the fish batter was gluten free and with cider so it was a pleasant surprised as not many fish and chips do gluten free. The view by the aqueduct is good

Had dinner here yesterday, service was great and made feel very welcome, we had the chicken which has lovely, menu was small but was explained that they are building this up in time due to covid, will return when steaks are available, lovely pub, lovely setting and friendly staff.

The place is set within a picturesque area of Avoncliff. We stopped off for some lunch after a long bike ride for refreshments and food. The order at table via their website was seamless and the service was friendly. The food however wasn’t amazing and the fish and chips I ordered was incredibly soggy.Recommend going there for the beautiful serene view but not necessarily the food.

Great 16th century pub with plenty of outdoor space right on the river Avon. We stopped for a light lunch whilst walking, and found a nice choice of baguettes, cakes, meat or vegetarian sausage rolls. The pub also serves classic pub food if you want something more substantial.
