What a delightful pub! We did a one night motorhome stopover on our way to the New Forest and will be returning on our way home.Sally the licensee and all the staff were friendly and extremely welcoming, which was reflected in the pub’s atmosphere. Great food and good selection of Arkell ales.The locals we spoke to were very friendly and it is obvious the pub is at the heart of the community.There is a lovely walk accessed from the pub garden which is ideal for taking the dogs.We thoroughly recommend visiting here.

Lovely Sunday lunch. Friendly staff. Great service fir our Vegan and Celiac guests too! Shame there were no green vegetables with the carvery🤔.......although when we mentioned this afterwards they were very willing to add further veg if requested!

Lovely place to have an evening meal ,food was exceptional we had a 3 course meal and couldn't fault it .lovely atmosphere and very reasonably priced will definitely be going back .

First visit since the change of management. Great choice on the menu which is great as my friend is a vegan. Manager was lovely after an error with the till, didn't detract from the evening in any way.

Excellent lunch in the garden, nice helpful staff and something different from the usual pub grub on the menu. Sunday carvery is also good, best to book for that, 3 meats on offer plus veggie option.
