Really lovely food. The staff were great and they made the extra effort for my birthday.

Had a wonderful lunch here, booking wasn't necessary. The surroundings were beautiful and the service was excellent. Looking forward to visiting again but for dinner.

We took some Swiss friends to the Dumb Post last night and had a really excellent meal with good beer and very friendly and efficient staff. Highly recommend must be fantastic in the summer with those views!

Very disappointed. Took 20 minutes for a drink and menu. In which we had to ask. Then had to ask to order. Very poor service. Food was excellent but over priced. Very cold feeling of a pub felt like an outsider. Would definitely not go back.

Probably the nicest pub we have ever stumbled across. The staff are really nice and engaging and the drinks are good and very reasonable in price. We had been expecting it to be much pricier than it was given the quality of the pub and the accompanying view. Which is also incredible. The food we had today, the mixed roast, was amazing, all five of us demolished our meals and cleaned our plates, portion sizes were perfect, enough to truly fill you up without leaving you bloated. Wonderful food. Wonderful service and a wonderful evening all around.

Very friendly and welcoming. Excellent Sunday lunch and plenty of it. Will be returning again soon.

We've found our new favourite place to eat!We called ahead on a Monday evening to see if they could accommodate four adults, a baby and two dogs. When we arrived we were shown to our table and drinks promptly arrived. My wife cannot currently have dairy, soya and egg and eating out lately has been a bit tricky. Our waitress went to speak to the chef and returned with the menu, with ticks and amendments so we could clearly see what she could have (this included making a soup from scratch, and meant that she could choose from about 80% of the menu). We were very grateful that they were so accommodating.Service throughout the evening was attentive and friendly. The food was fab! Some excellently constructed, balanced and flavourful dishes on the Al a carte and some firm favourites on the 'Pub Classics' menu.We are already planning our return visit and we will be recommending The Dumb Post to anyone that asks.

Beautiful pub in a beautiful part of England. Warmest of welcomes when we walked, even though the bar was busy with locals, the barman beamed at us and served us right away, and when we leftade the effort to acknowledge our goodbye. The food is excellent, but the little things of being so welcoming really do a long way. Thank you dumb lost inn, see you soon!

·

Absolutely superb. We had a delicious Sunday roast, the meat was perfect and the most wonderful vegetables followed by a really yummy pud! The staff were delightful and the service excellent. Great atmosphere and highly recommended.
