What an absolute gem of a place. One of the best meals we have had. Unpretentious & unfussy with food cooked brilliantly. Lamb & apple strudel for dessert. Our son had the rib eye steak & demolished it. Amazing ingredients, expertly cooked. We will be coming again.

Great pub, great quality food using local suppliers and great service. We will be a regular here. I am also so glad a previous review challenged the vegan issue. They should and did defend a great British pub.

Popped in for the steak night, which came with a pint of ale or 1/2 l of wine. We ordered a side of onion rings and they were superb. Enjoyed the quality of food and the staff were superb. Recommend this pkace to anyone! We will be back!

Lovely place to eat. Almost open plan kitchen where customers can see chefs preparing food. Lovely food cooked correctly and presented beautifully. Staff very pleasant and attentive.Starter price range about ÂŁ8 to ÂŁ10. Mains from about ÂŁ17 to ÂŁ25 Sweets from about ÂŁ8 to ÂŁ10 fair pricing for lovely food. Please see my pictures. Sauce smudge on edge of one plate was my doing and not chef/ waiter! I recommend, but to book in advance as it gets busy .

Went to The George on Mothers Day and had an exceptional lunch. The staff were having a difficult day as only few staff in and so many covers. However you wouldn’t have believed it from a customer’s view. The staff were so friendly, as always, professional, and overseen by the most superb lady manager. The food was incredible, we all had Slow Roasted Pork Belly, simply gorgeous and cannot wait to eat here again. Daffodils to take home tied with Ukraine ribbon, what a lovely end to the meal. You are the best .

Most disappointing Sunday lunch ever. Was treating my parents today and we ended up sending all 3 dinners back. I wouldn't mind paying ÂŁ18.50 for a good lunch but the sirloin of beef came looking like scrag ends you'd give your dog rather than a lovely slice of meat. Very chewy. The pork belly was like chewing string and my dad couldn't swallow it. Was really embarrassed that it wasn't an enjoyable lunch. Won't be returning

We phoned at the last minute and a table was offered to us without any fuss. Once we arrived we were warmly welcomed and taken to our table. The kitchen is open plan with plenty of chefs working the line. The food was outstanding, cooked and presented in a traditional manner. All the staff were very friendly and made you feel very much at home.Would 100% book again. Well done all.

First time eating at the George, and I have to say another fantastic dinning experience in Bradford on Avon.Every dish was perfect for both myself and my Wife.Staff very friendly and not overly attentive, leaving you to enjoy your evening.Gets our recommendation.

Proper pub. Good seating inside and out. Lovely food. Good prices. Great staff I would give it a 5 star but being a red wine drinker I found that there wasn't enough separate glass opens on the wine list. Most where full bottles

Once again an amazing supper night. We are so lucky to have this gorgeous place here in Bradford on Avon. Exquisite food, perfectly matched wine flight in the opulence of the blue room. Thank you
