We stayed one night and wish we could have stayed longer. The room was very clean, very well appointed and the breakfast was superb. We did not eat here but had a drink and the bar was really nice. The owners are really delightful and very welcoming and they could not have done more to make our stay any more enjoyable. Wishing them all the best for another blow that is 2nd lockdown.

Just down for 1 night of accommo in a lovely self contained apartment. Super quiet. Super cosy. Well looked after with breakfast & coffee. Being right next door to the pub is handy for excellent beer, food (from a different time!) and a terrific open fire.

Had our wedding day meal at the Greater Good.We were their first wedding that they have catered for and we can not reccomend them highly enough. We were only a small wedding party but i'm sure they could cater for all.The food was excellent and the service from the staff was superb.Petja who lead the team was especially fantastic and was an excellent host for the day.

Nice and friendly family's pub. The atmosphere was very welcoming and we had a great time with live music! Bartenders were dancing and serving with a smile!

Fantastic, truly fantastic. The staff went above and beyond to hold the kitchen open while we arrived, after a long hike on Sunday 26th May.The welcome that we received set the tone for a wonderful experience. The staff could not be more helpful and polite, the service was excellent, the food was out of this world. We where able to meet the chief Alexander who is truly inspired by his craft. The atmosphere here is wonderful across between a pub restaurant and a Georgian house amazing.

Great food, great beer, and great staff. The decor and furnishings are very well presented and adds to the overall experience. Whether a quick pint or a sit down evening meal you can't fault the enthusiasm of all the staff and this is demonstrated by the fine food and great ale always available. A must visit for any ramblers, passing motorists or those looking for a twist on the traditional village pub.

Serving excellent local ales. The garden is lovely and the menu is varied and excellent quality, I had the ‘TGG’ burger which was amazing. Very dog friendly staff and pub too! Looking forward to the monthly quiz night this week.

Better than the average pub. Cauliflower almost raw and cold. Dessert menu needs revising - two white chocolate items? Brownies grainyand and two sweet.

We loved the lunch menu here - sandwiches, toasties and galettes. Simple, fresh, nicely made with good ingredients. We visited a couple of days after they started serving food so they were still finding their feet but we will definitely be back to see the new beer garden and try the dinner menu!

Just popped in for a chat whilst out on a bike ride. Couldn't be more welcoming and offered me a pint of water as it was a hot day. The pub was closed for over 5 years and the village was much in need of a local history. Well done to the current owners for putting on the money, time and effort needed!
