The Green Dragon in Wiltshire

Stayed there while bikepacking the King Alfred's Way . Accommodation is spacious, very clean and to a high standard. Bikes are kept in the room with you. The pub itself was great with good food and the staff could not do enough for you. Full marks and will return another day.

Lovely food. Nice staff. Was a bit funny seeing a great dane dog wondering around the eating place.

Love this place, staff friendly and rooms were great. The downside was it was advertised as B and B and 1 site said breakfast was free, included. We were presented with our bill which included an extra £20 for breakfast! Ruined a good stay.

Friend just moved to village and we popped over for a drink and light lunch. Good food and very friendly place. Think this will be one of my friend's places to go! Strongly recommend.

I had lunch here with a group of 10 friends. We were made welcome by staff and shown to our table. The pub seemed a little short staffed as the barmaid was serving drinks as well as going back and forth serving our lunches. However, we all enjoyed our food and one person said, "the pie was the best they'd eaten for a long time".

Great place for me and all my family and friends. We eat there for my daughter 30th birthday . Fantastic food and the most beautiful place to eat 😋 Then we had a roast meal on Sunday a meal to died for the meats and vegetables were full of great taste and meals were so filling excellent service for the young man who did are service well done Rachel 👏

We were really impressed by the amazing, friendly service at the Green Dragon. They went the extra mile to accommodate us as we were in a bit of a rush and they were super efficient ensuring that we could get away on time. Great pub food and lovely staff.

Wonderful bike friendly accommodation and pub serving quality ales and fine food. The service was exceptional and our whole stay was just an unexpected delight. The landlady has only recently taken it over. She was simply fantastic. We were cycling the King Alfred's Way and arrived after doing 80k from Winchester wet and muddy. She showed us to a hose to wash down the bikes, told us to put them into our rooms, not to worry about the mess, and let her know what we would like for breakfast. The rooms were just perfect - comfortable with a great shower and all mod cons. Into the bar and the barman was bright and jovial. The beer and food were great, and a nice drop of red too. Friendly and warm, I would recommend this place to anyone, and especially to cyclists. The landlady Debbie has done a great job and I truly thank her for such a warm welcome and pleasant stay. Top notch!
