The Half Moon in Wiltshire

Love love love this pub!! My husband and I travel from Southampton just to spend an afternoon here! There are a good selection of drinks for everyone, the food is amazing and we were lucky enough to be there one afternoon for a live band which was brilliant. The owners are so lovely and so helpful. The gardens are gorgeous as is the interior. Cannot wait to go back!!

Went for Sunday carvery, excellent service and quality of food. Very big portion sizes and very good value for money. If you want a lovely pub with great staff, service and excellent food this will definitely be for you. Definitely will be back again soon.

Lovely home cooked food, welcoming staff. Beer garden, plenty of parking, families welcome and fair pricing.

Nice big pub on the outskirts of Shaftsbury. We just stopped for a drink and were made very welcome. Like the sign at the exit reminding you to turn left onto the roundabout!

Had a lovely meal. It was clean and warm and the loos were nice. Pleasant ambiance and a good, if a little limited, menu. Service staff were nice but a little slow, even with a half full restaurant, and the kids menu meals came last, which is a bit thoughtless. Overall a very good experience and the food was really good.

Food was amazing and great value for money. They need some more staff as our poor waiter was running round like he was on skates trying to do everything.

This pub provided lunch for 13 people including a couple of toddlers, with no fuss and good pub food. The burgers were great and the lasagne delicious, and all the other choices were enjoyed by those ordering.There were limited numbers of each dish so I expect the food was produced in house: it certainly appeared to be nicer than normal chain pubs.We had a limited amount of time and the staff were aware of this and provided timely efficient service.We will certainly return

Sunday lunch with the extended family. Didn't fancy roast at the time. Went with prawn dish which was delicious. Pricing very good, cleaned plates all round. Only slight downside, no lamb and no steaks on. But overall very good..

The place and the staff are amazing, have a big parking and inside it's warm and comfortable.The food it's great, enough to feel satisfaction.4 stars because today the food was very salted, not like anothers days.

Really nice atmosphere, friendly Staff and they accommodate for Disabled customers. And then the food............ Well when it came out, there is a wow factor. It was all piping hot and very tasty and service was outstanding too. Had a very enjoyable meal. Will definitely be going again.
