The Holford Arms in Wiltshire

We had our wedding reception at the Holford Arms around 1 year ago due to our original wedding reception being affected by covid. Despite the very short notice, the staff and management pulled together for us (as quite literally we didn’t have a venue 2 weeks before we were due to get married) and put on an amazing wedding reception. We had our reception outside under a marque with the staff making it look fabulous with decorations, balloons and flowers. The food was amazing and we were looked after throughout. We are not usually ones to leave reviews, however, we both would highly recommend the Holford Arms to any couple who are looking for a place for the their wedding reception. The cost is a lot more reasonable than any wedding venue, but I can honestly say the Holford Arms is just as good if not better than wedding venues I have been to before.Thanks especially to Will the manager and Katie who helped organise our wedding as a coordinator.Elizabeth and Liam (2021 wedding)

Another wonderful Sunday lunch at The Holford. The new "whole sharing" chicken is great fun and plenty for three!! Brings a bit of theatre to the table and a great talking point. Fantastic staff and well worth the trip, just wish it was closer to Oxford!!

In the main food was good and reasonably priced - although one or two items were a little overpriced for the portion size in my opinion.But the beef roast was very nice.Service a bit chaotic but it was very busy with lots of big parties.

We stayed in the luxury chalets really clean and peaceful considering its in the grounds of the pub it was far enough away for it to be quiet. We ate in the restaurant to food great staff really helpful highly recommended Thank you Holford Arms

Brilliant stay at The Holford Arms this weekend. Originally wanted to head to the arboretum, but weather put a stop to that. Ended up hunkering down in the pub all day next to the fire instead.Great drink selection and the Holford team were really cool and welcoming. The food was top notch, although I really would have loved a plate with my steak instead of a chopping board so I could have slathered the delicious beef béarnaise all over.Our room was excellent. It had everything we needed, and although it was right above a busy pub, we couldn't hear a peep. Will definitely be back in the future.

We stopped for lunch enroute to Cardiff. We both had excellent sandwiches and the service was very quick. Drinks and coffee also good.

Love this pub. The atmosphere is welcoming and cosy . The staff are cheerful, friendly and very helpful and the food is stunning. Congratulations to the landlord for keeping the ambience of days gone by, during these covid ridden times. I would highly recommend the Holford Arms 😊

Lovely explore of the Holford Arms. Great atmosphere, good - but limited - vegan options. Fantastic venue for a party! We hope to have one there soon. Thanks to the team who took us round.

Beautiful surroundings, absolutely loved the grounds. Th chalet was just perfect, looked beautiful and simple but with all the little touches that shows attention to detail. And super clean. Crisp white sheets and white fluffy towels, which is such a luxury. Pub food was superb. Breakfast was absolutely fab, and we ate while watching a little goldfinch outside plucking fluff out of a thistle flower, waving about in the wind, for over 5 minutes! We loved our stay 🤩
