The Inn with the Well in Wiltshire

Enjoyed a refreshing cider and a scrumptious wholefoods Vegan burger with sweet potato fries - Quick stop after our cycle ride, so we were grateful for the helpful, friendly and expedient service.

Loved our stay. Friday night was woodfired homemade pizza night which were lovely. Shower in the huge en-suite was amazing, so powerful. Excellent service

What a cracking pub! Was walking the Ridgeway with my dog, and after a tough day, they were a beacon of loveliness! Ok, that's a bit flowery, but you get the sentiment. So welcoming. Room was large and comfortable, food great, beer great, and locals great. I was carrying four days dog food, but only based on his usual two dog walks a day, whereas we were walking seven hours a day, so calories consumed were much higher, and I was feeling guilty. So one lovely local then went home, and came back with a dog bowl of kibble. Thank you! And small details like the packed lunch that was provided being plastic free. Like it! So thank you Mike and Megan. You were a major part of me having a great trip!

10/10. Lovely clean room, good value and a friendly welcome from the owners. Also and perhaps most importantly, the pie is a proper shortcrust pie, not a dish of stew with a puff pastry hat. Excellent 1st stop on Ridgeway walk thank you

Nice pub great location for walking The Ridgeway. Basic and functional rooms kept very clean, good hot water, TV, tea and coffee etc in room. Dinner was OK, nice stay. Friendly and welcoming.

Megan and Mike were very welcoming. The room was clean and well stocked with all the extras that make a stay pleasant. Being Friday, the evening meal was freshly cooked pizzas cooked by Mike in his pizza oven and they were fabulous. They catered for my dietary needs easily and nothing was too much trouble. We highly recommend Megan and Mike’s pub as a great place to stay as

We booked three rooms as part of our Ridgeway walk and we were all very happy. Beds very comfortable and very much appreciated after a days walking. Decent breakfast and if you’re walking they also offer a great value packed lunch with sandwiches, fruit etc. The pub itself is great for a pint or two in the sun! Highly recommend.

A smashing place to stop whether you are exploring the area or completing a cycling or walking tour. Friendly welcome. Good clean accommodation. Tasty A La Carte food which is fairly priced. The well set in the floor of the restaurant is an interesting centrepiece feature. Difficult to fault. Thank you

Excellent pub for lunch. Fresh home baked pizzas in a proper oven. The Pigswill was excellent (that was the name of the beer!). They welcomed our dog and even created a special meal for our kid who's a fussy eater. The staff were charming and the service was very quick.

We stayed here overnight whilst cycling the King Alfred's Way and we were so glad we chose here. Megan and Mike were fantastic hosts and really made us feel welcome. The food was excellent and the rooms had everything we needed. They even cleaned our cycling clothes for the next day! I would highly recommend staying here, perfect for cyclists and walkers who are doing the Ridgeway. I will definitely go back if in the area. Thank you so much.
