Easy parking and a pleasant welcome to our Sunday lunch. Vegetarian option was excellent - lovely nut roast and no overcooked veg! A delicious main course & compliments to the chef.Serving staff were attentive and polite.Decor and fittings were in excellent order.I strongly recommend a visit.

Lovely pub. Disappointed that my partner had nearly finished his breakfast by the time mine was bought out to me, although I had to ask twice where it was. I work in hospitality the food should leave together and reach the table at the same time. They apologised and they didn't charge us for the cups of tea.

Nice family meal. Good service. Some portions on the smaller side . Far too much ice added to drinks. Don't forget to register your car if using the car park

Edit: We gave the King's Arms another try via invitation to dinner. Honestly the difference is night and day, the food was absolutely wonderful, filling and made a fantastic evening overall, with very courteous staff. We enjoyed the dinner enough that we decided to have another breakfast at the establishment with exact same orders. Again the service was phenomenal and the food was delicious.Old: Went for breakfast with my partner as she sung high praises from her prior experience. Unfortunately I was very disappointed. First problem we had was that we had ordered a pot of tea each and while mine was fine, my partner attempted to fill her cup but the tea only came half way. Was sorted out after bringing up the issue with staff. Next we ordered our breakfast, partner asked for 2 croissants and I asked for the loaded bacon butty, which was advertised on sourdough bread. After about 40 minutes, on a quiet morning, our food finally arrives. £7.25 for a couple of rashers in 2 slices of hovis bread seems very steep and optimistic considering its possible to make more than I received for about a third of the price, not to mention there was no offer of jam or butter with the croissant for my partner until asked. Overall I can't help but feel that I have been swindled and I honestly could not recommend it. I don't like to complain but words can not describe just how dissatisfied I am with the lackluster food and uninterested staff.

We were a large group staying the night and eating in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. All the staff were very helpful staff at all points of our stay, from booking to arrivals and all the bar and wait staff. Can't thank them all enough for making our stay so easy and comfortable. Also a really lovely pub with great rooms and excellent food. I would highly recommend the pub and stay again if we are in the area, it's a bit of a gem.

We've been using the King's Arms mostly for the odd midweek meal which is always good quality. Yesterday we had the Sunday roast and it was one the best we have had in a long time

Good crisp clean pint, generally quiet when I've been (Friday after work beers only). Lovely interior, comfortable and welcoming ( recently refitted), dogs and kids welcome but I haven't often 👀. Not eaten myself but only heard good things, best sunday lunch ever apparently.......don't tell the wife😂 👍

Beautiful building, excellent and spacious room, ample parking, and both breakfast (the Eggs Benedict were stellar) and dinner were excellent. Very friendly and thoughtful staff. Appreciate you very much.

Good food and service but watch for the "optional" tip which is already included in the bill, and the card machine which then prompts you to add a tip! Effectively exploiting customers to double tip. Caught me out ... Again 😬

Came here for a meal this past Saturday with my partner, we were looking forward to our meal as we had not been in since the reopening and previously loved the kings arms. However, when we walked in we were greeted by who i can only assume was the manager as she was not in the uniform the rest of the staff were wearing, not only did it take her over 2 minutes to even look up from her phone and acknowledge we were there but once we had told her about our booked table she very nonchalantly pointed us to our table without even taking us over, once at the table which we assumed was ours, she went back straight to looking down at her phone without bringing us any menus or offering any drinks. After about 5 minutes one of the younger girls working noticed we were just sat without anything and came over to attend to us. The rest of the night was truly lovely and our other servers were very friendly and food was delicious. However that initial greeting had really put a damper on our evening.
