I wasn't sure what to expect when I booked, but what I got was a nice warm friendly stay, the rooms were quite basic but the location was great, they even had a secure place to put my bike. Janet who served the breakfast in the morning was a delight to encounter and made me feel very welcome during my stay, with some good conversation and a warm smile.

A bit of a picturesque local pub and inn In Marlborough. A husband and wife team, Jackie and Viv run the establishment.Excellent food, live music is played often of decent quality. Most important venue in my history of being. a supporter of Chelsea. I watched the final on May 29 of 2021 when we won the CL. For the second time around since 2012! Love you!

We stayed there last night. Its just what you want at the top end of town. Very good. Racing on tv. Sociable regulars and a no nonsense room and great value for what it costs.

We arrived and staff were friendly and pub looked inviting. Sadly it went down hill after we ordered. The food was an hour late. Two tables arrived after us and left before us. They gave us free drinks which was nice but the lunch wasn't same after asking a few times. Fod looked like it was thrown together and it wasn't cheap. My fish was £20. Shame won't be going back.

Visited the Lamb very recently, we were looking for a dog friendly pub with food. Their website says "Food served all day, every day" so we were hopeful. Especially seeing as our previous visit had been so nice.I went in and approached the man behind the bar to check that they really were still serving. I was told (very brusquely I might add) "No". When I said that the website said they were serving food all day, every day, he looked pretty blank. No apology, nothing. So we left and we went to the Plough on the Hill instead. Where we were welcomed warmly and had a delicious meal.

Lovely lady host, young lad a bit solemn but perfectly nice.Service was top notch and the food was first class.Hopefully when all restrictions are lifted there will be more choice on the menu. Will definitely be back when in the area.Thank you.
