The Marlborough in Wiltshire

Very friendly, with good sized rooms and nice touches for guests. Well priced for staying, though drinks are slightly on the pricey side and the rooms looking out on the courtyard can get noisy and/or a tiny bit smokey in the evenings. Food very good though.

A lovely historical themed restaurant. You could order anything here and it will come quickly with the finest quality!

I really like the variety of options on the menu, a mix of classic vs interesting... that said given the level at which they are pitching the menu, the execution of flavour and technique misses the spot, get that right and this would have been a 5 star review. Ate here again on the weekend, wouldn't change the review re food... also we were sat near the bar which in itself was fine, but when ever they cleared a glass bottle it was thrown into the glass bin - again I get the fact it's a bar but the loud banging of glass on glass constantly really puts your teeth on edge and isn't favorable when sitting down to a meal... a little bit more effort in this regard would make a big difference...

tl;dr just visit. Delicious meals and a relaxing, tasteful environment. Warm, friendly, an obvious respect for people, food and animals.

What a lovely place. A handsome historical property with clean, smart, rooms, a generous tea/coffee tray in the room, dog friendly, and in a beautiful location. The proprietors Tyler and Jason couldn't have been more welcoming. The food is top notch and I had the best beer battered halloumi, chips and crushed peas that I have ever had. Wonderful.

Good atmosphere and beer well kept. Can be difficult to get to the bar as its not very long and is obscured once 3 or 4 people are standing or sitting at it.

Unique very old building with up to date facilities. Staff were great and so was the food.
