We had a lovely stay this Easter at Methuen Arms. We were in the area for a wedding. Check in was easy and our room very nice on top floor. Excellent products in room , toiletries etc and also home made biscuits! We had dinner in the restaurant which was delicious. Saturday morning breakfast was really good lots of choices but service was incredibly slow but Sunday was fine so maybe that was a blip. Staff were very friendly and all in all a lovely stay. Corsham Court is a nice place to visit too.

What a lovely place the Methuen is! Our room was comfortable, very warm and inviting with a lovely big bathroom and plenty of hot water, towels and robes and a big tub, plus really good shower pressure! The room came with the usual equipment that you’d expect (iron, hairdryer, safe) but also a lovely range of teas and coffee plus some complimentary drinks in the mini bar and handmade shortbread - very welcoming! We had a great dinner in the pretty restaurant and alongside the various dining spaces there are several other rooms in this beautiful old building where you can have drinks, as well as a great outdoor space and a lovely little morning room, perfect for relaxing with a coffee. A delicious choice of breakfasts was available the next morning with the local bacon being a real stand out!Every member of the Methuen team we met was friendly and made us feel well looked after, we had a fab weekend and we’d highly recommend booking a stay here!

Staff were friendly and so helpful. When I phoned before our stay they helped to organise us getting in our room as soon as possible so we could get ready for the wedding we were going to, they gave us a taxi number, and told us where the nearest cash machine was.Room was beautiful and the bed was comfy. Shower was amazing. Breakfast the next day was delicious and there was so much choice!

Excellent food in a really lovely setting. The pub itself is beautiful & the courtyard area really does stand out!! Our first visit here and would definitely come back. For food we ordered the burger & the steak which were both delicious. The service was 10/10 and we were never left unattended to for too long. Will definitely be returning soon.

We had the most wonderful overnight stay at the Methuen Arms; a warm welcome from the team and personal touches did not go unnoticed. The room was absolutely superb, I literally could not fault it, from ambience to amenities. We stayed in for food in the evening and again we couldn't fault our meal and the atmosphere was great too. Would not hesitate to come back, our only regret was not having booked another night!

Absolutely beautiful bar/restaurant/hotel. We stayed in one of the "snug" rooms and it was lovely!! Everything worked as it should do, zero problems. Only criticism is that there were a few cracks in the ceiling, but the cracks can be forgiven as it is a very old building. The food was lovely too, possibly a tad on the expensive side but as it was a birthday treat and a one off, it was nice. The staff are friendly and really accommodating. I would definitely stay here again and would definitely recommend it to others.

Another awesome lunch. Just love the whole experience every time. The team are so happy, helpful and the food outstanding. It is so easy to book on line. The kitchen garden is a must see. You can sit outside in comfort if you wish and it is heated. Or inside with all the history of Corsham. It is relaxed and chilled. It is a favourite for me, my parents, my children.

Lovely staff. Efficient, kind, smiley and welcoming.Three meat eaters had good choice and the food was tasty and well cooked. Expensive but good food. Vegetarian and vegan offering was poor. Limited choice, poorly executed and very expensive for what it was. Unfortunate. Not a restaurant I and any veggie friends would jump to go back and eat at, despite it being super friendly and attractive a place.

A beautiful hotel with some absolutely amazing staff. I really can't praise them highly enough, everyone we dealt with during our stay was friendly, courteous and helpful. Well done Methuen Arms, your team are a credit to you. Lovely rooms, bit noisy if you're in Room 14 (on the main road), but we moved to the courtyard and it was perfect. Fabulous food and a lovely bar area. Will definitely stay again, thoroughly enjoyed being a guest.

Extremely good service, very polite. The rooms were extremely cosy and there was music from the radio playing when we walked into the room which really set the mood. The breakfast was incredible and over all worth the money. Unfortunately didn’t get a chance to have drinks in the bar due to them closing it early as it was a bank holiday. Highly recommend this hotel.
