"A traditional country pub just outside Melksham. Situated on the edge of the market town of Melksham, just off the A350 and surrounded by lush, green Wiltshire countryside, the Milk Churn, built in 2014 in the style of a Wiltshire farmhouse with attached barn, is the perfect example of a proper country pub at the heart of its local community."

Booked a table and pre-booked our food. How difficult can it all be now. Well seems like they wanted to make it difficult. We tuned up advised we where there, shown where our table was, got a drink the rest of the part turned up, oh our table was given away, a mistake, yet smiles from that staff as if it was funny. We managed to get seated on a make shift set of tables, our food eventually arrived be it luke warm, and some of the food was sent back. Not all the food arrived, should the sides arrive at the same time as the main as well, not after we had almost finished.Very much a that will do attitude, we won't be back.

A standard Table Table restaurant, with the standard menu. They were extremely busy and under-staffed at the time of my visit, however, they handled it really well, and are a credit to the restaurant and Table Table team.I would recommend this as a place to visit if you are in the area.

Was in town working, came to the pub for some food with a college and was served by Ellie-mae, Astonishing customers service reminded calm smiley and polite even under a busy high pressure working environment and went above and beyond to make our visit welcome.Highly impressed with her service outstanding!

Great selection of pub food and a really wide selection of beer and Cider. Including the Thatchers range; Rascal, Rose, Katy and Haze on tap. Great environment and the staff were lovely.

3 stars at most purely because the service staff were friendly but food was really disappointing. We had camembert to share for starter which came with 4 tiny pieces of bread and some tasteless tiny crackers which meant we struggled to eat all the camembert. My partner had BBQ chicken supreme and it was a tiny over cooked lump of chicken, burnt and very dry. I had the steak and tangle foot pie which was nice enough but nothing special.

They squeezed 6 of us in at the last minute on Sunday, which was great. Friendly staff. 2 of us had the chicken roast, 1 beef. 2 burgers and a kids meal. Every one else's meal was great. I had the chicken roast, which was a chicken cut in half. Didn't seem to be a huge amount of meat on it! Everything with it was very nice

We chose this place on spur of the moment for Sunday Roast as we’ve previously visited before so thought we’d return, too say disappointed would be the least. We ordered at the order point and was advised food would be 30 minutes to then be approached by a member of staff roughly 45-50 minutes later to be advised one of the meats we’d ordered wasn’t available and food was being plated up to be bought out. 20 minutes later (hour & 10 minutes) food arrived at the table with a slither of gravy and lukewarm. We asked for more gravy and Yorkshire puddings (advertised as unlimited on the menu) to be told there wasn’t any more and it’ll be 20 minutes or so until more was available of either! Why let it run low? Unfortunately very disappointed with todays showing.

Quick lunch today during work hours. Table service quick and friendly.Menu was VERY limited. Choice of burgers or sandwichesI opted for 2 starters and a side all on one plate ( made my own meal up)No big plate arrived so I just juggled each little meal onto one. It actually was ok- hubby had a BLT that stated it had chopped cos lettuce. It didn’t, it had one large leaf not really a buggy but still not the same as description. Not a terrible lunch but disappointed to be honest at the lack of choice. Considering we were there dead on 12 we were surprised at how little choice we really had.We will give this a miss for a While after this experience.SHame as it’s very local

Was extremely disappointed with our lunchtime visit today. I chose the Steak & Tanglefoot pie with mash & red cabbage. Sadly my meal was inedible - the mash was stodgy and not at all buttery, the red cabbage had an odd taste like it had gone off and the pie was extremely salty. To be honest it made me feel quite ill. On collection of our plates I pointed this all out to our waitress. Her response was quite shocking - "it's not to everyone's taste". No apology or an offer of a replacement. With that we paid our bill and left. I have continued to feel ill all day & it has totally ruined my birthday.
