Delicious food and excellent service. The Sunday lunch is generous and very much to be recommended. A friendly pub with a lovely beer garden. Great for a stop off the motorway!

Called in today, because I was recommended this pub last night at my Local pub, and was told good food, they weren't wrong!I brought my Mother here for a quiet Lunch out, in memory of my Aunt, as they both used to go out for lunch together and my Aunt would have appreciated the fantastic service, wonderful old countryside pub atmosphere, and proper pub grub in good portion serving, you won't be disappointed.Thank you for the friendly, fast and knowledgeable service, we will be back again, especially as I didn't have room to try a dessert!

Delightful experience and superb mealThree of us went for Sunday lunch. Homely and pleasant pub, the food was generous, tasty, delicious. Thank you to the blonde waitress/ barmaid who served us, you were so genuinely kind, friendly and helpful. Everything was perfect, a really happy experience!

Highly recommend this pub for a nice meal. Their vegetarian chilli was delicious! The staff were very accommodating of my egg allergy, double checking that the dish was egg-free. Great atmosphere, very welcoming to both locals and visitors.

Went with my kids and had an amazing welcome. The new landlady is so hardworking, sweet to the kids & creates a lovely family environment, so welcoming and professional. I've lived in the area for over 6 yrars and used to avoid coming here as previous landlords I found to be very intrusuve & unprofessional but she is completely different. We sat in the garden & she had no problems adapting the adult menu for them.Yesterday for a second visit, I rang at 6.45pm for a takeaway and it was ready within 15 mins for collection for me & the kids. Cannot say a bad thing. The pie was proper & home made. The cheese cakes was delicious & kitds lived their katsu chicken.New owners are amazing. Lovely food. Great service. Family atmosphere, defo worth a trip.

We're going back there asap. Really pleasant experience, excellent service. Quintessential British village pub serving home made food.OK been back a few times for midweek lunch since. Just had a really wonderful family Sunday lunch (10 persons) as a belated mother's Day celebration, post restrictions; what a dream afternoon with the friendly staff and villagers & excellent food. Well pleased and highly recommended.

Found this little gem on a long drive home. The staff was super friendly and greeted us with a smile. The food was delicious! We had chicken katsu curry, a risotto and a pie and we all loved the food. Definitely with a little detour to rest from driving and to enjoy wonderful food. Unfortunately I did not take the names for the lovely staff but we visited on 01/10/2021 and were served by a tall young and with a beard and a young lady with long blond hair.

Stopped here around lunchtime for a quick bite to eat with the family. We sat outside and there was plenty of space, greeted and served our drinks very quickly. Freshly cooked food followed shortly afterwards. I thought that the chips were especially good and the others enjoyed their Ploughman's. Will visit again.

Fantastic food very well presented, friendly staff and great price. Would definitely go again when we are in the area. Very jealous of the local who can visit whenever they like. If your looking for proper Home cooked food this is the place to go. Great dessert if you have room. Thanks From the Wells from Cornwall.
