It has a nice atmosphere, I think it would be a nice place for a drink with friends. The food is disappointing and feels like they're cutting corners to save money. Thanks to the manager for replying. I had the burger which should have had a brioche bun but it wasn't. My husband's steak was overcooked.

We needed a speedy lunch in order to catch a train to Crewkerne on time. The food order was promptly taken and the food delivered and was well presented. It was delicious. The interior was typically pleasant of an 'ole ale and coffee house and the politeness and brightness of the staff was first class. The only negative was that the food was rather pricey....but still worthwhile. We would have no qualms about visiting here again!

5 stars for the service, staff n beers. U get beautiful atmosphere as soon as u enter. Plenty of seatings with social distancing. Cleaning is awesome. Have variety of keg n as well as in fridge. Staff is very friendly, attentive n cool. Customers get their attention as soon as they entered. Lovely beer garden at the back. Well seated. We didn’t try their food but looks delicious. It is situated at the edge of high street or just near to the Salisbury Cathedral. So not far n easy access. If ur around then pop in. U never b disappointed. Recommended

Excellent service and outside seating. Table service was attentive. The huts are great to stay out of the rain if needed. Wonderful drink selection, especially the cocktails. An easy 5 star from me!

Lovely place for a spot of lunch. We enjoyed a halloumi and mushroom burger, our little person had the haddock chowder. All were delicious. Its VERY dog friendly, great if you love them, a bit annoying if you do not enjoy constant barking while you eat. No criticism of the pub more the dog owners really. Perhaps doggie families with noisy mutts might consider eating under the covers outside perhaps as a general rule?

Lovely pub, and still table service which made us feel comfortable. Lovely big garden. Love the beach huts. Staff were really good

Located in the centre of picturesque Salisbury, The Old Ale and Coffee House has a great location near the cathedral. There is a decent selection of craft beer and many, many gins. Our server came across as a little offhand. Prices both for food and drink are on the high side.
