Very nice pub in a great setting within Manton - nice outdoor seating area with good kid's play equipment and great drinks :)

Went here for lunch with friends with my small dog. Very dog friendly. All staff were welcoming and friendly and service was excellent. Atmosphere was very pleasant. Food arrived quickly, and looked very attractive. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars and not 5 is that I had the fish and chips, batter was crisp, chips looked good, but it all tasted a bit bland and the mushy peas were dryish and didn't help on adding flavour (there had been salt on fish batter so wasn'tlack of salt). No other sauces on the table bar sachets of mustard/vinegar/mayonnaise (I unfortunately don't like mayonnaise and the other condiments didn't help) I could probably have asked for ketchup, but didn't, which may have helped. I would have loved to have given 5 stars otherwise.

Nice little pub with parking, garden and courtyard. Indoor fireplace. Staff are very friendly and they have a good range of options, including a gluten free menu. Food is generally good!

Fantastic place to have lunch. Nice food and atmosphere. The brownie with vanilla ice-cream was so good!

Took the Mr's here for valentine's evening meal...The staff were very welcoming and accomodating,we never had to wait to long for our meals to be freshly cooked for us...I had the serloin steak with chunky chips, onion rings, mushroom, tomato and rocket salad...The Mr's had double egg, ham, peas and chunky chips...All very enjoyable, washed down with some nice drinks...It is a very pretty village pub and we'll worth a visit...👍

Excellent traditional country pub with great food friendly staff and dog friendly as well. The garden area is well thought out with plenty of well spaced tables with awnings and lights for that special night time experience. We enjoyed our recent visit with friends.

Nice venue. Good covid precautions. Met for lunch... bit cold on day we visited. Fleece blankets available. Had the large Wiltshire ham, egg and chips... Not the best ever and wondered what the small version looked like. Presentation left much to be desired as seen in picture, but good to see them open again...

Had a great outdoor catch up with an old friend here due to Covid measures, the outside dining area was set up with heaters and blankets to keep you warm and the food was lovely. I would definitely recommend booking yourself in 🍴🥩

It was nice and quiet to start with. Great food, but felt that i was ignored as sat with finished plate and empty glass for 35 minutes but the place was full by this time. Would have ordered online but WiFi reception outside was poor.

Great little country pub with a horse racing theme/feel. There’s a new (as of 2018) children’s play area outside which is a bonus, and some outdoor seating to go with it. Inside there are a few connected rooms with a total of ~10 tables of various sizes. Wadworth ales are on tap along with the usual selection of lagers. The food menu is long and has something for everyone. The scampi was excellent.Well worth a visit.
