The Pear Tree in Wiltshire

Beautiful venue location. However staff especially management need to learn they are running a wedding venue and that you need to be calm, polite and happy when dealling with guests. This was not the case at the wedding I attended and I would also suggest the venue is not prepared to be a fully functional wedding venue and hotel post Covid.

We stayed at the Pear Tree for a friends wedding. The wedding was good, the canapés, drinks and food were really great. Breakfast the following morning really let this place down. For a £160 room I do expect better than the miserable selection of cereal and bread. To make matters worse, I have now sent my complaint twice by email for them to address my concerns. Both times ignored. Beware! Good wedding venue but there are better value places to stay locally.

I had the pleasure of attended an amazing wedding at this venue recently. The venue and grounds are beautiful. The staff were polite, efficient, friendly and really went out their way to meet everyone's needs.Highly recommend holding your big event here if you you're looking for a great venue, lovely food and brilliant staff!

Very pleasant venue with high class food and accommodation. Excellent countryside setting. Only drawback is slightly awkward for disabled (stairs/gradients, etc.) although there is a disabled toilet on the ground floor. Would recommend.

Attended for a wedding, lovely wedding and great day. Lovely food. Slightly let down by an over zealous bar manager...after spending 30 quid on three drinks from the bar, one of the pints was flat. Proceeded to make quite a song and dance when I asked for a pint with some more fizz.

Well… I wish I had read the reviews for this place before myself and my partner booked our wedding here! To say we are absolutely heartbroken is an understatement. We were never made aware of the terms they have set out in regards to cancellations and when asking about this we were made to feel shut down and stupid! The fact that a company can keep monies for food they have not even purchased yet is madness! There has been no revenue lost? Is that not just modern day robbery?! Baring in mind we are having to cancel due to financial reasons! You would think a company such as this would have a heart!I shouldn’t be surprised considering the interaction we had with the lady that showed us around. The false promises regarding catering and let alone the ridiculous timings you have to get guests to book rooms to get a deal on the honeymoon suite should have been the first red flags to us! This place will take your breath away, in every single bad way possible.

This used to be a wonderful venue.From personal experience I can definitely say then days have long gone.To couples looking at booking in please tread carefully

A fab Wedding Day - Thank you to Duncan and the Team for their support on the day. Venue was ideal for our small (50 people) winter celebration, the meal (outside catering) was delicious and the care from the staff helped us relax and enjoy the day - no worries. once set up. Bedrooms are sumptuous but the breakfast a little disappointing.Great memories. Recommend them.

Last Saturday my daughter held her wedding reception here, twice postponed due to COVID-19. From us, as a family, and from all the guests comes a heartfelt 'thank you' to all the team at The Pear Tree.This runs from first contact and booking all the way through with excellent communication and helpful reassurance. On the day the ceremony room was beautiful, the Orangery magnificent.A number of us stayed overnight in very clean and comfortable rooms and enjoyed a good continental breakfast.The meal at the reception was marvellous and the staff so helpful and hardworking. So many guests have spoken to me since about the great time they had and the wonderful venue.Our thanks for making a long-awaited day so special.

Massive THANK YOU to Duncan, Sarah & the entire team at The Pear Tree.We finally had our day on 19th August 2021 after postponing from 2020 and we must say it was certainly worth the wait! It was the BEST day of our lives.We fell in love the venue as soon as we saw it and knew instantly this was the place we wanted to say ‘I do’Even though we faced many challenges over the period when Covid first hit, Sarah & Angus were fantastic and came up with solutions to hold our special day, which we decided to postpone. After 18 months of planning our day had finally arrived the excitement was unreal. Our day was beyond everything we hoped and wished for, the day was filled with fun, happiness and so much love by all. It was perfect in every way and that was down to the AMAZING team at The Pear Tree.Special thanks to Duncan our Wedding Events Manager who personally ensured the day went smooth and perfect for us. Duncan’s attention to detail was five star and everything was covered throughout the day.I personally would like to say Thank- You for putting up with me :-)Some more thanks to Sarah, Jade & Emily for all your support and time you have given me and my hubby, we appreciate you all.The food and service was out of this world of which many guests still comment on today.We would highly recommend this stunning venue for your special day.Thank you again to each and every member of the team at The Pear Tree.Best WishesMr & Mrs Rigby
