I've been lucky enough to travel all over the world and stay in many luxury hotels, but The Pear Tree Inn is my favourite. Gorgeous Garden, Beautiful Breakfast, Delicious Dinner, Wonderful Wifi, Dreamy Beds, Easy Check-In, Plentiful Parking, the list goes on. I'll be back soon!

Wonderful food and friendly, helpful staff. The outside seating is generous, surrounded by beautiful planting and the snug is extremely cozy for when it gets dark and chilly in the evening. We’ll be returning!

Absolutely stunning venue! I stayed in a garden room which was unreal!. Unique and quirky double room with a mezzanine floor and a further 2 single beds. The food was amazing! I had crisp pork belly and it was quite honestly one of the best plates of food I've ever eaten! Was only staying thr3work but will def8be returning! 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Took my partner here for her birthday yesterday lunchtime, along with her parents. From beginning to end, the service from our host Katie was first class. Nothing was too much trouble and she made us feel valued and welcome. The food was easily the best that we had all had in a long time, with all of us agreeing that it was 10/10 in terms of quality. The attention to detail to all dishes was incredible and it was clear that the chef took real pride in their work. We will certainly be returning soon to sample some more of the menu!

Dined at the Pear Tree on 12 Feb (our first meal out in 2 yrs and it was definitely worth the wait). First off I loved your Gin menu, so many I hadn't heard of. The honey pheasant was lovely and my partner said the belly pork was the best he'd ever had. Everything was just top quality, good portions and a great balance of flavours. Finished off with home made sorbets - both the orange one and the pear was perfect. Thanks to everyone you've got a lovely setting, nice laid back restaurant, superb menu and great staff who are welcoming and friendly. A little gem.

Lovely bedrooms, we had a massive bath. Food was really good, both dinner and breakfast were great. Incredible customer service. All the staff seemed genuinely friendly and Jackie posted a skirt we forgot in our room, which was very much appreciated. Highly recommended.

The food was very nice indeed. It's just a shame that service didn't quite keep up the good work. It was busy when we came in, so it was fine waiting a couple of minutes longer to put orders through etc. Staff are friendly and mostly interested in the customers. It did seem to take a long time to bring us a bottle of fizz... Celebratory evening out and all.It was quietening down as we finished our main course, and we sat there patiently waiting to have plates removed and sneak a look at the dessert menu. We waited... waited a bit more... had a conversation about the world... waited a bit more. Decided in the end to just pay and go.Shame, as the food was great and it looks like a fantastic venue. Can't have everything. Didn't say anything at the time as we didn't want to have to wait any further to see a manager. None of us are getting any younger!

I had very high exceptions for this place, but I have to say that I was quite disappointed. This was the first time we visited. I booked online and stated that we were celebrating my husband's birthday and asked if they could do something nice to surprise him. Nothing. Not even a "happy birthday" statement on arrival. I was very disappointed about that.Regarding the food, all I can say was that it was "OK". The burger was overcooked and served on a generic store-bought sesame bun. The server didn't give me the chance to state how I wanted my burger cooked. The fries that came with were obviously freezer-to-fryer and not made in-house and were served with generic store-bought mayo. For the price, the least they could do is make their own mayonnaise. While the burger sauce was tasty, the dish was a complete failure for the price. As for the service, I can only say it was also "OK". Our waitress was the minimum friendly, but you could tell she didn't care much to be there. The wine service was atrocious! The other waitress couldn't even open a bottle of wine properly! For the calibre of restaurant that they are trying to achieve, welcoming servers and proper wine service are minimum.Overall, disappointing. I was looking forward to bringing friends and visitors here, but I will think twice before visiting again.

Really easy to book, received confirmation and later on a reminder, excellent. The service and food were first class and at a very reasonable cost. Will certainly be visiting again, Very Highly Recommended.

5* service throughout. Excellent as always. Staff were very friendly and helpful, food was exceptional. Atmosphere was lovely. Loved the smell of the warm wood fire. Toilet facilies were very clean and had lovely luxury soap and hand cream in. Perfect country pub for all and highly recommended.
