We flew to the Pelican after a dear friend's funeral. Hadn't been before. Sat on the terrace, as it was a lovely evening.Pete had steak & mushroom pie, l had tagliatelle with meatballs & parmesan, plus a pint of orange juice & lemonade & Landlord ale to wash down the delicious food. We didn't have pud, having eaten cake at the wake. Service was good, pub was attractive, nice gardens by the Kennet & Avon canal. Will return soon 😊

This is a lovely place to eat with the family. Very helpful staff and a great menu. The food was lovely, even the side salad was dressed and did seem like an after thought. My only down point would be the restaurant area was very dark( but that could be my personal preference). The ground around the Inn were very beautiful and have obviously had a lot of work done on them.

Lovely Pub with a Great Atmosphere.Lots of different tables and chairs to pick from which was great if you want a soft or hard chair. The Staff were very helpful and the Food was Great. We all had clean plates.which says something for the taste.Puddings came out a bit slower but they were busy. And we wernt too worried. We were on at Canal Boat and so it was great to be in Walking distance to the Pelican Inn. Well worth a Visit.

Tasty lasagne but remarkable lack of meat. Lots of staff buzzing about but no one actually bothered to see if I wanted desert. Waited at the bar to be served and again no one actually addressed me, had to get their attention. Nice pub but distinctive lack of customer engagement.

We enjoyed an overnight stay last week. The room was dated and in need of refurbishment. The downstairs area/restaurant was great. Good food and good service. We are looking forward to another stay once the bedrooms are refurbished.

Overall a pleasant Sunday afternoon in the Pelican Inn.Our food order was not taken to the kitchen, which we found out after we followed up on our food (after 40 minutes), many apologies and a free round of drinks and our order had been taken again, with the food following within 10 minutes.A very tasty Sunday roast (one lamb, one beef), with lots of great veggies, both myself and my son enjoyed all!!A warm atmosphere and fresh lager topped off our afternoon.

Wish I had found this gorgeous pub earlier in the week, the staff are awesome the menu is fantastic and the food to die for, now I know this all sounds to good to true but I sincerely mean it. I had the venison loin and it was cooked to perfection and desert was a white chocolate creme brulee' which had a satisfying crunch and then melted in the mouth, I swear I would have dined here all week had I known about it so do yourself a favour if you're looking for quality food look no further than The Pelican at Froxfield it's an absolute gem of pub with loads of olde worlde charm and friendly staff who cannot do enough for you.

Went here for dinner tonight with my husband . From the moment we walked in to the moment we left the staff were so welcoming and friendly. The food and atmosphere were amazing. I would highly recommend this pub to everyone.

We visited recently for lunch as a party of 9 including two toddlers and two dogs and had a lovely time. I had organised my extended family to eat together after meeting up Imagine Photography earlier and we're so pleased we chose the Pelican. The staff, menu, food and venue are all excellent and we felt really looked after, we'll be back soon!
