Great service, wonderful staff, lovely pub, great parking, but Sunday roast changed since pandemic as now using frozen roast potatoes and veg so won't be returning as not to my taste, but other than that, its lovely

The table service staff were good. We had booked for 6.00 pm on Tuesday. After taking our choice of food (most of us had carvery ) but when we got to the counter we were told there was only pork they had run out of beef. For a pub advertising a choice of carvery this was not acceptable. Had we been told earlier we might have chosen something off the other menu. There was no apology from management or chef. The poor waitress did apologise after we said how unhappy we were. Needless to say we will not be going there for a carvery again.

Consistently great carvery. And, despite usually being busy, there are plenty of staff always attentive and pleasant. Recommend.

Went for Sunday carvery.Couldn’t fault it. £12.50 for a large plate and help yourself.Good selection of meat and veg.Meat was a generous portion. Meat was not fatty and no wastage. Would definitely recommend.Only gripe was our table was next to carvery so a lot of traffic. This place gets busy and had a queue for carvery but it moved rather quickly.Would definitely visit again.Probably best to book.

Delicious lunch at the Sunday carvery. Friendly, polite staff couldn't have been more helpful. Fantastic prices, the best around the locality. Definitely will return

Booked our table in advance but had to wait to sit for 30 mins over the scheduled time to sit. Roast pork and turkey were lovely but very let down by the frozen roast potatoes. Roast potatoes should be the heart of any great carvery so very disappointed to not see home-made ones. No peas was another disappointment but the rest of the veg was satisfactory

Fantastic carvery with a quality choice of meats, veggies, gravies, sauces and sides. This really is home cooked quality, which is a rare achievement for a 'volume' carvery. We've had the large and the medium sizes and all are generous and tasty enough that you'll want to eat it all! Staff are professional, attentive and willing to help and answer queries. Every customer we saw left happy with a smile on many faces. Well done to everyone there, what a credit. A real pleasure, can't wait to go again and take more of the family there to enjoy this gem of a place.

·

Had Sunday carvery. Lovely pub, very friendly, pleasant accommodating staff. The food was of a very good standard. However the food presentation on the plate was terrible. There was no separation between the items they were just piled on top of each other . Not very appetizing.

·

Carvery meal fantastic. Great selection of meat and vegetables. Best Yorkshire puddings I've ever had. Great atmosphere. You will not leave hungry Highly recommended.

Amazing Carvery/Pub. Can't believe we only just found this hidden gem. Great food, fantastic staff and amazing atmosphere. Will definitely revisit. Well worth a visit
