Good meals ,friendly service and reasonable prices

·

Lovely service, great food, nice atmosphere.

Very nice lunch but a little expensive. The veg could be local. Also, could be a bit more generous. Staff were nice and worked to please. The muscles, which my son had, were very salty! Nice and quiet. Carpark.

One of my favourite pubs! I visit regularly. Friendly. Lovely cosy atmosphere. Food delicious. Good parking.

·

Nice atmosphere and good selection of well kept beers.A bit odd that after being sat there forty minutes, as the pub filled, that a barmaid came up and plopped a "reserved" sign on the table we were sat at. I mean - its asking guests who are ctually present to go in order to accommodate people who have just phoned up and may never materialise. We were heading away next anyway but they weren't to know that and it seemed an odd practice.

Superb as always. Atmospheric old country pub like they used to be. unusual these days to see drinkers around the bar chatting, a few dogs recovering from a muddy Sunday walk and a delicious Sunday lunch!

Picked The Plough as somewhere to meet family where we were all on our way to different places and wanted somewhere close to Swindon.I was a good choice, great food, beer looked a good choice but we didn't sample it and the food was lovely with a good choice. On top of that good and very friendly service.

Food was tasty I found. Service was a bit slow and a meal was delayed from the group of 6 I was with but it was out after approx 7 mins so not the worst but to good at the same time. None of the staff offered their names which was a but odd I found. Chairs were a bit wobbly and after a while did hurt to sit on but all in all decent food at a fair price.

Great service, great atmosphere, will be returning soon to eat. Update, we did return for food food and it was fantastic.Love this place, the welcome we continually receive when we walk through the door makes us feel welcome and valued customers. We came here a few months ago just for drinks and vowed we would return for food. We have now returned on a few occasions, once for lunch and had the best ploughman’s we have ever had. Returned again on Sunday and they managed to fit us in even though they were fully booked. Thank you so much.

My daughter and her boyfriend just came home from this place. They are very disappointed. What chef can't cook a fried egg? Hard round the sides and dry in the middle? The chicken wings were not wings. They were legs with no meat or seasoning. Just legs with skin. Garlic bread was bread with cheese on and soggy definitely NOT garlic bread. Very poor. Cheesy chips which I could have got from a kebab shop. One chip stuck to a lump of cheese. The ham served was full of fat and chewy. The only way I can explain this is I would rather eat at a wetherspoons and for a well known thought of pub in the lovely countryside this is not what was expected. If the plough pub would like to respond. It would be interesting to hear what they have to say.
