Tea Room was busy, but it was Jubliee weekend. My chocolate cake was delicious but hubbies lemon swirl cake was dry. We had to pay in the shop on our way out, as staff too busy, very trusting...as we had to wait for an employee to take the order. Would visit again, when hopefully not quite so busy.

Used to come here quite frequently pre covid as was halfway point to meet my parents. Came here the other day and sadly it seems the standards have slipped with the quality of their food.I had the smashed avocado on sourdough toast. Must admit was not how I expected it to be presented. Slices of avocado, with a bunch of grilled cherry tomatoes and one non grilled one fresh out the fridge, which just looked odd! At least it tasted ok.My wife had the soup which was cream of mushroom. She said it had no taste and essentially tasted like water, with the consistency of water. I tried it and she wasn’t wrong. I should mention the staff were good about it and took it away and off our bill. But there’s no way that should’ve been served out to customers.Just a pity as we could always rely on the quality of the food in the past, but it seems the standards have slightly dropped. Maybe we were just unlucky on the day. Hopefully that was the case.

Had a nice lunch here was outside. We enjoyed the ham, egg, chips and the crayfish and salmon open sandwich. We ordering we were advised of possible 15-20 minutes delay in getting our food as they were very busy, but it arrived in about 10 minutes.Staff were very polite and helpful.

The gluten free lemon cake with almonds flakes is absolutely gorgeous! They have a very good selection of cakes and a good savoury menu. We will definitely go back there the next time we're in the area.

We drove from Windsor to meet friends. Sadly we were disappointed in menu choices. The toasted tea cakes were some of the smallest I have ever seen. We asked if my husbands scone could be warmed but no they didn't oblige. My cake was delicious. Some of the hot food look very nice. However we won't be visiting again

Old school charm in terms of ambiance and good old fashioned service by a youthful team. Yes prices are on the steep side but you are paying for more than just the food and drink. Super fast service on the day of our visit 👌🏻

Old school tearoom experience with good food and service. The cakes are the stand out part of any trip here - both in taste and the size of the slab that you're served. Needed a doggy bag to finish it at home

Popped in today for the first time. Had our grandson with us.Ordered a bacon sandwich and orangina for the boy and for us a supposed home made steak pie and a Wiltshire ham egg and chips with tea for 2.Well.. I wanted to send the food back when it was delivered, especially the ham egg and chips! ..but partner said you know what .. I will never come back again....Food delivered to the table. We then waited for cutlery , condiments and the extra requested mustard and ketchup to be delivered in 3 , yes 3 executions of service ( we were table 1 right by the service area! )Meal 1;The ham was in such sparse supply that the 2 eggs were not only bigger.. but totally covered the see through thin 2 small slices of ham ! £10.95 for a handful of chips, 2 Eggs and awful quality of ham.Meal 2;Bacon sandwich had more bacon in than the Ham meal. Unfortunately it clearly had been cooked ages beforehand, left to dry out and served in a sandwich to a child. He left half of it . £6.95 for a bad bacon sandwich!Meal 3;Homemade??? Pie. Frankly if it hadnt been for the instant gravy it would of been very dry.Small pot of peas. Ample chips.. much more than what was on the first meal. Thinking the pie had been microwaved then put in oven. Hence dryness and hard / soft pastry.£9.95.Tea in a pot with 2 cups.Brown sugar supplied to partner.Tea weak. Certainly nothing special and certainly not at a cost of £7 !!! 1 pot of tea , 2 teabags , 2 cups .. £7 !!! Actually felt robbed!!Partner ordered 2 slices of bread and butter with his meal 1.It was actually delivered on the same plate as his meal .. hence why he had so few chips! Do you not have side plates ?!Furthermore he didnt get 2 slices he got 2 half slices... and for that privilege they charged £1.75! Not a plate, added to main meal and a charge of £1.75 !!!£40.35 for frankly , meals that were way below par !Now I know why it wasnt very busy on a Saturday lunchtime!I look forward to a response from this management team because the actual cakes looked wonderful. Is it just a tea and cake place ?Because hot meals are diabolical. And the tea at £7 for 2 needs to be improved greatly !Seemed to be no management on the floor and frankly none overseeing meals !What a shame!

The breakfast was delicious however, the seating area was far too cramped. This seemed to stop people chatting (as the tables right next to you could just listen in!) so it was also uncomfortably quiet. The staff could've been a bit friendlier too!

Loved it. Staff very helpful and professional. Enjoyed our visit. I haven't had such nice bread in a long time!
